Help a disabled woman to keep her utilities on!!

Sunday, September 22nd: Hello, everyone. I’m Gem, a bi, mentally ill, and disabled woman in desperate need of help, as even though I've managed to pay my rent arrears, I am still struggling to keep my utilities on!!

I apologize for asking for help again; as most of you know from my previous posts, I have been struggling quite a lot to make ends meet while on welfare benefits and due to my rent arrears and ever-increasing debt. And to be quite honest, these past few months have been absolute hell for me, and with no other income, I've been relying on the kindness of others to get by.

However, I'm in desperate need of that kindness again, as even though I've recently paid off my rent, I am still struggling to keep my utilities on and their in emergency credit of £4.99. I don't receive my disability & welfare until the 30th and urgently need help.

I know this is a lot to ask, but if anyone could spare any amount to help me, it would literally save my life, and sharing definitely helps just as much.

I shouldn’t have to say this, but— do not sign anything which has important points added in goddamn pencil.

Don’t sign forms with areas left blank. Make sure those areas have “not applicable” written in each one (or words which work where you are).

Be aware of ambush tactics like being asked to sign unrelated forms * after * a surgery, any painful therapy, while feverish — any time when you’re unable to read and think clearly.

Don’t believe “this form is no big deal, you don’t have to read it.”

If you’re pressured “because it’s more efficient to sign everything at once” or anything like that, remember this is one more reason to be cautious, if not suspicious. Tell them to make a separate appointment.

If you are in pain, alone, or concerned for yourself and your ability to refuse to sign papers under pressure, ask someone to be there with you.

If you don’t have people to help in person, get someone to witness things with your phone, and allow them to say “wait a minute, that’s not right” or “no” for you. You don’t even need a smart phone to do this, OK? I’ve had to use a land line on speaker. It helps if your person has a clue what’s going on, but if you’re ambushed, just make sure they are willing to stick up for you. There are probably notes on how to be an advocate somewhere, if you know resources please add them in comments or add to this post.

Halloween Suggestion Box

I'm opening a Suggestion Box.

It's October and I've been wanting to write something for Halloween, but I never had a good enough idea. However, the times I opened requests I received several good ideas from you that had never crossed my mind.

And that's why I thought I'd ask you for help. I don't want to open requests because I don't want to promise things I can't deliver. And I would like to do a special Halloween post or set of posts with all the characters. Or in the case of Glorious Masquerade, the characters that participate.

So if you have any ideas related to Halloween that you would like me to write about you can send me a suggestion. I will choose the best suggestion/s and tag who wrote it to give credit for the idea (unless you send me the suggestion as anonymous of course XD).

I'm not going to write about the Stage in Playful Land event because it's not out on the English server yet and I like to follow the stories there.

GENERAL RULES:

I only write Reader-inserts.

I always follow Canon. No AUs. Unless it's small things like the reader is already in a relationship with them, for example.

I always write Gender Neutral Reader. If you want a specific gender, I just feel comfortable writing Fem Reader, since I myself am one.

I follow the English Server. So please don't ask me for anything about history and/or events that have only happened on the Japanese Server.

I like to read these kinds of things for comfort, so I also write to comfort the reader. So something that strays too far from that, I won't write.
