the soft hum of wedding preparations filled the room as you stood in front of the mirror, hands fumbling with the zipper on your dress. you sighed, biting your lip in frustration, tugging at it in vain.

"need a hand?" wonwoo chimed.

you turned, catching the sight of him leaning against the doorframe, dressed in a sharp gray suit. though his expression calm, there was a slight curl to his lips, his eyes warm as they took you in.

"please," you mutter, struggle melting into relief.

he moved closer, his presence caving you in as his fingers brushed lightly against your back. he gripped the zipper, slowly easing it up.

"there," he said softly, his breath warm against the back of your neck. his finger lingered along your waist sending a warm shiver through you.

he'd usually adjust his glasses—a habit you've grown to know—when he needed something to keep his hands busy. “you look beautiful,” he murmured, his voice low, like a secret only for you.

you felt heat rise to your cheeks as you looked down. "it's my sister's day," you reminded him softly, though you couldn’t hide the smile that tugged at your lips.

"i know," wonwoo said, his voice serious but his eyes twinkling with affection. "but i can still admire you, can’t i?"

as you straightened the dress, turning to the mirror again, wonwoo stood beside you, watching your reflection. his thoughts, however, were miles away. seeing you here, preparing for a wedding, he couldn’t help but imagine what it would be like if it were you and him.

he'd always been cautious, measured with his emotions. but now, standing next to you, dressed in a gown that made you glow in a way that stole his breath, the idea of forever with you felt so... right. he could picture it—the way you’d look on your own wedding day, walking toward him with that shy, beautiful smile that made his heart flip every time.

"one day," he whispered, his voice so soft you almost didn’t catch it. his eyes held something deeper, something unspoken yet undeniable.

you blinked up at him, your brow furrowing just a little as if to ask what he meant, but before you could say anything, wonwoo leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to your forehead.

“you ready to go?” he asked, his voice more composed now, though his mind still lost in thought.

you nodded, turning toward the door, but not before sneaking one last glance at him.

wonwoo's heart swelled with a certainty he hadn’t felt before. the wedding would come and go, but the thought of his own future with you? that was going to stay.
