It's Saint-14 Day! I have no caption for this, it speaks for itself.

The progress on Black Talon is going strong, and much better than I hoped. My biggest fear was having the whole thing be too weak, especially since it's, yaknow, cardboard. Once I started gluing the layers down, it would be impossible to go back without ruining months of work.

I spent several days carving out the middle layer of corrugated cardboard and putting in as many popsicle sticks as I could fit, then adding two layers of paper to smooth it out. It was decently strong with the sticks, so I glued down 10 of the layers (5 on each side).

Let me tell you, this thing is THICC and CHONKY. Even without the handle she's already heavy enough to need two hands, and she certainly won't bend if I do a few whirlwind blade moves.

Next steps, finish and glue the last few layers, and start brainstorming how I'm going to shape the handle out of (you know it) more cardboard.

Well it's been chaotic recently but good news! I have escaped the app formerly known as Twitter and taken residency in Bluesky. If any of you are also there feel free to drop by so I can find you all again. I'm currently focused on reposting all of my old art, but I have a special new Saint piece coming soon ;)

Bungie bringing back sunset weapons, as if I wasn't already using sunset weapons for fun. Bungo can't stop me by sunsetting my stuff (this is out of spite for them taking my toothbrush, artichoke, and charred celery out of my vault). Origin Story, Badlander, Zenobia my beloveds... I could never give up on my favourites just because they got sunset.

Honourable mention to my Red War Stompees that are so old they have the D1-style of upgrade system and I used them for years after they became obsolete.

I'm finally able to use Procreate again after 10 years and immediately dashed out three completed works in two days. It's been odd to adjust to but I'm having so much fun
