You can not convince me that Solomon doesn't have videos of mc chasing their own tail or scaring themselves when their wings touch something.

Ever since gaining this new form, it's been a struggle. Learning how to use their new extremities and limbs. New parts of their brain have been activated thanks to the new physical form. So when mc's wings subconsciously move or instinctively flap, they get spooked and flinch, and Solomon tries so hard to hold his tongue and not laugh.

Or when mc's tail kept moving all on its own, and it was pissing themselves off. Solomon holds up his phone and records his student going in circles like a dog trying to catch their own tail and getting so frustrated " BECAUSE IT WONT FUCKING STAY STILL!!!"

-Soooo mermaid AUs amiright -Here Childe is a deep-sea monster. He can come up to shallower waters but thrives best deeper -Still big!! About the same size as normal Foul Legacy, but he is a bit longer -Why? Because he also has a finned tail :) -He does have back legs as well because I think that looks cooler but his tail is a major factor in swimming -His wings are now a pair of light, gauzy fins that glimmer even under the ocean -The seaside town that you live in has been having… “problems” with him ever since a few people sighted his shadow in the water -And because the people living there are paranoid of large and vicious sea beasts they decided to try and “deal with him” -Which basically means hunt him down -You’re not taking part in the hunt due to having other work and being generally disgusted at the way people are talking about this harmless mystery creature- yes it’s BIG, but it hasn’t DONE anything! -Plus, everyone is telling you to stay away from the beach- where you usually go for strolls- and it’s REALLY starting to get on your nerves -You just roll your eyes and ignore them, going on walks anyways -Usually your walks are on cloudy days now because sunny days will have everyone in a tizzy trying to hunt the sea monster -In fact you’re on a walk today, the sky gray and ominous. Maybe you should head home soon, looks like rain is coming -You’re about to turn back when you hear an awful screeching sound further down the shore -Being the brave little cookie that you are you go to investigate with no hesitation (ok maybe a LITTLE hesitation) -You find a peculiar creature tangled up in the nets and NOW you see why your town was freaking out, because you’re pretty sure this creature is the sea monster everyone’s been chasing -You’re about to run and maybe tell someone when the creature whines -And oh your heart just breaks at the sound -So despite the warnings yelling at you in your head, you take out a pocket knife you carry around -The sea monster shrieks in terror when he sees it but quiets when you begin sawing at the nets surrounding his body -And some of those nets are TIGHT on his skin, to the point where you can see the scales and armor breaking underneath -You work quickly, fearing that you’ll be caught by someone who hears his pained yelps, but finally he’s free -The creatures gives you a soft, worried look, but someone in the distance calls out and he slips back into the sea, leaving you standing alone on the shore -The next day you return, venturing to a rock you like sitting on, only to find a tiny bundle of seaweed placed carefully on the smooth stone -It’s tied with a slightly lopsided knot, and you unwrap it to find a perfect, shining pearl -After that you keep finding little gifts on the rock, from shells to coral to old coins, but you still don’t see the actual creature again -You even begin leaving your own gifts- little flowers and berries- for him, but he still doesn’t appear -Until one day, when the beach is completely deserted again except for you, when you see a familiar pair of horns peeking from the water -You call out to him and he raises a bit more, blinking at you as you jog to the rock -You sit and he perks up and hoists his upper body onto the rock as well, tilting his head and letting out curious coos -Despite his large size, he’s gentle and sweet to you, brushing his hand against your cheek and examining your legs with fascination, and you wonder why you were scared of him in the first place -With a few scratches in the sand he tells you his name- Childe- and when you tell him yours he trills with joy -His tail curls around the edge of the rock and when you reach out to tough it, it shyly wraps itself around your hand and wrist -He lays his head on your lap as you trace a finger over the dips and groves in his scales, finding several scars from various attacks -He shivers when you touch them, but snuggles into your hand with a reassuring purr -When night comes you get up to leave, but Childe whimpers when you stand -You reassure him that you’ll

be back the next day and watch him dip beneath the waves with a satisfied flick of his tail -But the next day, you never appear, having been kept from the beach because it was sunny and the sea monster would obviously come out in the sun -And Childe waits for you, his head just barely above the water as he watches the sandy shore, because you promised to come back, so you’ll be here! -Right?

Ace:

After failing the last test in Professor Trein's class miserably, Ace somehow roped you into tutoring him. He agreed to buy some tuna to help tame Grim, so it wasn't all terrible, but gosh was he thick-skulled.

For the past two weeks, every afternoon, you met up with Ace at different places. Even with all that time though, he still wasn't any better than when you both started. At this point, this was looking like a lost cause.

When the next test rolled around, Ace bribed you with a free lunch to help him cram the night before. He had picked up some things in that time, but it still wasn't looking too good for him. You both stayed up a few hours later than you had planned, so he crashed on your couch for the rest of the night.

While taking the test the next day, you realized that all that studying might not have helped Ace, but it definitely helped you.

When the results were out, you had passed with an 100%. Looking up from your paper, you saw Ace practically beaming.

"Y/N!! Look at this!!!"

He shoved his test too close to your face, you couldn't even see what he was so excited about. Pushing him away a little, you finally saw the 78% written on the top. He had actually passed?

Even though you make fun of him and find him annoying at times, he was still your friend, and it warmed your heart that he was so excited over this.

You reached up and ruffled his hair a little.

"Good job, Ace. You worked really hard for that. I'm proud of you."

Going quiet for a moment, Ace smiled like an idiot and then asked you what you got.

You told him you passed, but didn't get specific. You didn't want to ruin this for him.

"I should totally rub this in Juice's face. I bet he didn't even pass."

And just like that, he's back to being annoying.

Deuce:

Deuce had been skipping on some of your hangout times. When you asked him about it in class, he just said he was busy. It wasn't really a big deal, so you didn't press him much more than that.

You started to get a bit worried, though, when Ace said he hadn't seen him outside of class much either. Apparently he wasn't coming back to his dorm room until curfew.

After talking about it some more with Ace, you both decided to question Deuce the next morning in class.

"I've been working out. I'm trying to get a better time for my 2 mile run."

Oh, yeah. You forgot he was in track & field.

Apparently he and Jack had been competing to see who could get the best time. Deuce had been spending all his extra time running to improve.

Now knowing why he wasn't hanging out, you asked if you could come watch while he practiced. He agreed, but said you'd just get bored.

Before the time he offered to pick you up from Ramshackle, you prepared a sort of picnic. If he was working out so hard, he definitely needed some extra food and water. You even made some lemonade for the both of you.

He asked what the basket was when he arrived, but you just shrugged the question off.

You snacked on some of the food while he warmed up, but kept most of it untouched. When he finally finished running, you could see how hard he was breathing even from across the field. He ran way faster than you ever could.

After catching his breath for a second, he ran over to where you were and excitedly told you his time.

He had shaved almost 2 minutes off his time and had beaten Jack's.

"That's amazing, Deuce! I'm so proud of you."

You hugged him. He was sweaty, but you didn't mind much. You were just excited to see him so happy.

You showed him the picnic after.

"Thank you, really. I think I only did so good because you were watching me."

You both stayed on the field for a while after, eating and chatting.

Epel:

You had been coming to Epel's magical shift practices for a little while now. A game with another school was coming up, and Epel wanted to play in it.

Unfortunately, he hasn't been allowed to play in any games so far, so he's been working really hard ever since the new game was announced.

He was currently at a club meeting, but you couldn't make it. Since he's been so focused on getting better, Epel has been neglecting himself. He hasn't given himself any breaks, and you could start to see how stressed he was getting himself.

That's why, while Epel was at his meeting, you're with Trey. After explaining the situation to him, Trey agreed to teach you how to make some different desserts.

He showed you a few different recipes, but you settled on making an apple pie. For obvious reasons, you know.

After deciding, Trey agreed that he could help you make the pie next time Epel had practice. With the plan put in place, you left Heartslabyul to go meet with Epel.

"Hey! Are you going to be free Thursday after school?"

You texted Trey the date of his practice as you walked back to Ramshackle with Epel. You both played some card games before he left for the evening.

When Thursday rolled around, you made the pie with Trey and showed up at Epel's practice only 30 minutes late.

The pie was able to set for a little while Epel played. Since he started the club, he's gotten significantly better. He's gotten so much better, in fact, that when this practice ended, he ran up to you and said he'd been given permission to play the next game!

"I'm so proud of you, Epel!"

You hugged him so hard, you both stumbled a little to catch yourselves.

"Thank you! I'm so excited!!"

He liked the pie.

Jack:

Ace and Deuce were held back by professor Trein to talk about their behavior, so it was just you, Jack, and Epel for lunch. Sebek ditched you for Malleus, per usual.

About half way into eating, you remembered that competition Jack and Deuce had.

"Did Deuce tell you he got a better time for his two mile? I was there when he did; he wasn't lying."

Jack finished chewing before responding casually.

"Oh, yeah. He did. The time he beat was actually an older best of mine, though. I've improved, but I didn't want to ruin his mood. He was really excited."

You smiled gently. Jack is such a sweetheart.

"That's really nice. I'm proud of you, Jack."

He nodded a little with a faint blush.

"Thanks."

The blush got a bit deeper.

Sebek:

Malleus's birthday was coming up, so naturally Sebek was all over the place. He wanted to get him the perfect gift, but didn't know what.

"Well, I'm not sure what gift to get him, but you could always make him a cake."

Sebek was walking you back to Ramshackle. You've been trying to give him ideas the whole walk, but he kept turning them down.

He didn't respond then, but the idea seemed to stick in his head because he turned up on your doorstep the next day at 4 am.

When you asked him what he wanted, very annoyed with being woken up this early, he told you he was there to learn how to make a cake.

You told him to ask Lilia, but he assured you that Lilia wouldn't be able to help him with this particular matter.

You then told him to ask Trey, but he said he couldn't wake him this early. Yet, he had no qualms about waking you up!

You begrudgingly let him in and got some stuff together for a simple vanilla cake. You told him he had to pay you back for your ingredients, which he agreed to.

After covering the whole kitchen in flour and breaking an absurd amount of eggs, you both finally got the cake out of the oven.

After letting it cool, he took a bite.

"This is perfect for Master Malleus!"

You both ate a few more slices before the sun started to come up. He grabbed one more small slice while he walked out the door.

"I'm proud of you for working so hard for Malleus."

He nodded while taking a bite of cake. He didn't even hear you.
