@aclashofmuses hit the like for a starter

domeric was certain that he knew why he’d been named as one of lady stark’s personal guards for the negotiations. his father was at the heart of this, not the young wolf, wishing his heir to be away from where the fighting was the thickest. he’d nearly died two years ago, and while he’d recovered the near loss had meant that his father would be careful with him. a lord is nothing without his heir, and while roose never stated that he was more careful for domeric’s sake the young man knew why. it was not for his love of domeric, no, it was for convenience, had domeric passed he would be pressured to marry again and have a new heir, and roose did found boy lords loathsome. no, domeric at least was a man grown, no chance of a boy lord when roose died there.

roose had only taken him south to keep him from ramsay, he knew, as his father was certain the illness that had nearly taken domeric’s life had been poison. an idea that domeric prayed was not the case, for he had only sought to have the companionship of a brother. family had always been something that he had craved and missed, so in a way he certainly understood some of what lady stark was currently going through, and why she was still in the south with her eldest. she wanted to see her family back together, as he had wanted to see his family become bigger than just himself and his lord father.

“do you think, my lady, that treating with renly will truly work?” he prayed that it would, and that this would not be all for nought.

@lykosog gets a starter

Jeyne bit her lip as she wove her way through the halls of the Crag, she’d been out for fresh air in order to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the castle. They were preparing to leave, after all, and she could not say that she was not nervous. The young woman knew that this was the last she would likely see of her childhood home, traveling during war was dangerous at the best of times and deadly during the rest. And with Winter on the way, there would likely be a long time before she would be able to visit once the war was over. No, she was certain that once she left the Crag to head for Riverun that she would never be returning.

The sound of the many people preparing to leave made her heart flutter, her stomach doing somersaults. She had always known that there would be a day that these halls would be filled with the nervous and melancholic sound of servants preparing for a departure. A lady was always aware there would be a day that the house would prepare for her to leave with her husband, and such a departure was known for every house. Not as large a departure as this, however, with the Lord not even in attendance. Robb had told her that he would be sending word to the Mallisters to have her father set free, but even then he would not be back in time to see her off.

Jeyne finally made her way to her destination, having postponed long enough for his meeting to be done. Queen or not, she did not think his men would be too keen on her entering the room when they were discussing the strategy of war. When she opened the door, there Robb was, looking over the map that had been gracing the table of her father’s study for as long as he’d been recovered enough to plan his next moves. She still remembered when last she had been in this room not days before, of the comment made by the Frey man... The memory of it made her shiver, the cold look in his eyes as he spoke of making Robb a widower had pierced right through her.

If they meet on the battlefield he will not survive Robb for that slight, she thinks, but I will not see a man executed for mere words. Even if those words are ones that he would have followed through on. Jeyne knew that she was not likely to have survived if the Frey man had not been seized in that moment. Even so, she’d found herself pleading for the life of the man who would have ended hers. I will be known as a forgiving Queen, a good and kind Queen... Like Alysanne was. “Your Grace, might I have a moment?” she says at last, unsure if her lord husband had heard her enter the room.

Lady Bolton:

“YOU’RE JON’S STEWARD ??” jeyne asks, her voice soft; hesitant.  she lifts her eyes from the fire to watch the boy as he walks in the room.  he is pretty, she notes, i had been pretty once too.  jeyne wonders what someone like him had done to get sent to the wall, or had he volunteered to go like jon snow ??  she has kept to herself since jon had accepted her at the wall, wrapped up in her own arms and cautions.  the princess shireen had offered to play with her once, but jeyne could not contain her tears and confied herself to jon’s meager holdings mostly since.  “my father was lord stark’s steward.”

@neithergodsnormen liked this for a starter !!

satin does his best to not look too directly at her, not wishing to make the girl uncomfortable. from what jon had told him, the girl had just went through a living hell. he dared not ask what had caused the tears that he had seen before, when the princess had asked to play. “i am quite lucky, mi’lady. not many of the men here are too keen on me... jon gave me a chance.” he listened to her words about her father, and he wondered if the man had died like jon had said most who went south with lord stark had. he doesn’t move too swiftly as he brings the hot meal towards where she sat, not wishing to startle or upset her. “you grew up around jon, then?”

He smiled at those two riding close and the sound of his brother laughing and he could just make out the smile on Morgan’s face.

“And I will work on my father as well, I mean our families have been close why not tie those bonds a bit stronger. I want those two happy since they won’t have the responsibility of ruling a hold,” he stated then heard the musical laughter of Morgan laughing. “It would be good to have a little bit of happiness around here.”

“Happiness and an excuse to drink the night away without taking the plunge into marriage ourselves.” Domeric was not certainly not ready to commit just yet, though he knew that it was already a matter of time before his father found him a match. He liked the freedom that he had at the moment, not having a wife to attend to, as he could spend much more time riding and visiting the Karstarks. “Now, to start our plan on how to get them together.”
