In the middle of Diamond crying and pondering, her phone rings.  She puts the phone on speaker. 

Jermaine: Hey babe. How are you? 

Diamond: You know I have been super busy. Working. 

Jermaine: That is great! How has work been? 

Diamond: I sold a few mixtapes this week. Sales a pretty steady. 

Jermaine: Are you alright? You sound sad. 

Diamond: I just wish we had more time together. I miss you. 

Jermaine: That is why I called. Maybe we can cuddle and watch some movies? Can you ride down here? 

Diamond: Yea I can ride over there. It is super late though. 

Jermaine: Do you have to work? 

Diamond: No. I’ll see you in a few hours. 

Diamond can’t decide if she wants to take the bus or train to Jermaine’s house. She was hoping to stay with Leonel a few more months to have enough money for a car but things didn’t work out. Riding public transportation has been such a drag.

Queen just woke up from a long night dancing at the club. On a typical day, Queen does laundry and works out. Getting used to living in an apartment has been a huge adjustment. Queen used to be homeless, living in the breakroom of the club. With the help of Tori, Queen moved into a 4-story duplex with amenities and a laundry room.

Diamond and Tami talk for hours about the last few months. 

Tami: Did you have feelings for him? 

Diamond: No! But he paid me well. 

Tami: Girl you could have come to me for help! You do not need a man for anything! 

Diamond: He black balled me from the clubs here so I couldn’t go back if I wanted. 

Tami: What does that mean? 

Diamond: He owns all the clubs in San Myshuno. 

Tami: So have you decided what you want to do? 

Diamond: I mean I want to be a manager. Jermaine is in Newcrest. Maybe it is time for a move. 

Tami: hmmm

Diamond: What? 

Tami: I don’t feel Jermaine has shown the behavior of someone in a relationship. He acts single. 

Diamond: Long distance is hard. I can’t blame him. 

Tami: You know he has never asked you to be with him, nor has he tried to move with you. 

Diamond: Tami OMG can you not do this right now?

Tami: I care about you! I do not want to see you hurt. 

Diamond: I don’t want to talk about this anymore. I’ll talk to you later, ok? 

Tami: Ok. Love you girl.

Jermaine had spent 2 hours waiting for Queen. She kept leaving his side to dance or tend to the bar. A few of the girls were out sick and her help was needed. 

Queen: It has been a busy night. Have you enjoyed yourself? 

Jermaine: Absolutely. I want to ask you something Queen.
