Diamond loves the opportunity to promote her music at the club. But there is just one catch with the business relationship. Diamond has to do physical favors for Lionel in exchange for promotion and payment. 

Lionel is a predator. He abuses his power and takes advantage of all female employees. Diamond keeps this arrangement secret from Jermaine and her best friend Tami because she is embarrassed. She also promised herself that she wouldn’t continue this arrangement past graduating from college. Lionel pays her very well. He pays her enough to cover her rent and education.

Meet Lionel: Lionel & Diamond Pt1

In the early days, Diamond was a DJ for an older man named Lionel. She was in college and needed help paying for school. Diamond would mix tracks at home and play them at the nightclub every weekend. She couldn’t work more hours because she had to study for school. 

Lionel was an older gentleman who owned multiple clubs in San Myshuno. This particular club was popular for DJ Showcases. Diamond met Lionel one night when she stopped in for a drink. Diamond caught Lionel’s eye and a business relationship budded from there. 

Lionel hired Diamond has a DJ every weekend. This gave her the opportunity to grow her fan base and her bank account. This was at the time when Diamond was still deciding if she wanted to venture into business or music.

Meet Lionel: Lionel & Diamond Pt2

During the day, Diamond would study business in her apartment and talk to Jermaine. She didn’t see a lot of Jermaine because he was busy with school as well. They have somewhat of a long-distance relationship. Diamond stays in San Myshuno and Jermaine stays in Newcrest. They attend the same college, but Jermaine is always occupied in his studies. 

Come Friday, she would make plans to head to the club for the DJ showcase. On slow weekends, Diamond would plan her material and post to her social media. She balanced between beauty and musical content. 

Since Lionel had multiple clubs, he really didn’t have a lot of time to see Diamond perform during the DJ showcase. He was a single man, no children or family. He was all about his business. For anyone who needed a job, he was the man to ask. He always looked for new talent to promote. More talent meant more money in his pocket.
