Not an aquarium ( thank gods ) but it was still very bad for them. Mers are an incredibly rare sight and even harder to catch so when Poppy was caught they immediately were poked and prodded at, studied. They hated it, trapped for years.

of course as shown and implied they managed to get out and back to the sea at some point- how? ( tbh I had multiple ideas for this but for logics sake- ) Crashed during a transfer. Vehicle was full of an incredibly potent sleeping gas

After many, many, weeks of the program crashing because the drawing is too complex for it,

I have finally finished it.

(Get this, I started working on this drawing, when chapter 16 was released)
