It’s Joon’s third birthday with me. Previously I celebrated it in the same way by giving him surprises in the midnight but this time I want to make it special. He always makes every moment of my life special. 

But I have to plan fast his birthday is approaching. I was thinking of ideas when Joon returned home. We have been living together since 2 years and it is the best decision of my life. He came and sat down beside me and dug his head in the crook of my neck and snuggled, “hi baby!!” he said with a low husky voice. This is it I don’t want anything else now. I hugged him back and asked, “Are you tired Joonie?” he didn’t say anything rather he just nodded.

I gave him a peck on his forehead and said, “How was your day?” it’s our regular kind of thing; we always ask each other about our days.

“Don’t even ask”, he said and then sat upright and continued, “it was so freaking tiring I felt like I would die” he smiled and his dimple was so vividly visible. I am the luckiest girl on this planet I swear.

“ahh I see my baby is so tired”, I said and cupped his face.

He then got up and I too went to the kitchen to bring his dinner. He came back after showering and wearing his sweatpants and a loose white tee. 

He came and lean in the kitchen slab and I offered him his food. He sat down and started eating. Everything he does is so adorable. 

Joon said while eating, “you know y/n I miss watching the sea I have been busy in work so much I wish I can go and watch those beautiful waves”.

That’s true it’s been a while we have been to the sea and enjoyed ourselves. By the way this is the best gift I can give him. I asked, “by the way Joon, can you take a leave on your birthday please”.

He thought for a while and then said, “of course babe I can, but what are you planning?”

“ it’s a surprise Joonie, I can’t tell you just take a leave and keep doing what I am telling you to and don’t ask me questions”, I said and pinched his cheeks.

“ahhhhhh it hurts y/n”, he complained and then continued, “ now heal me”. He then showed me his cheek.

I kissed him lightly on his cheek and he smiled. I let him have dinner alone and went inside to plan for the trip.

{ JOON’S BIRTHDAY}

“Y/n why am I supposed to be blindfolded”, Joon complained when I was tying a blindfold in his eyes.

“Stop complaining Joonie, you have been complaining since morning”, I said and then tied the blindfold.

Joon still don’t have a driving license so I always drive when we go on to trips.  He sat on the passenger seat and tried all means to get to know where I was taking him and it was so cute. At a moment I felt like telling him where I was taking him. 

We reached the beach after like driving for 2 hours. I helped him get off the car and stabled him. He couldn’t wait more so he ripped off the blindfold. He is an expert in destroying things. When he saw where he is his face lit up, he ran towards the beach and jumped up a little. I opened my phone and recorded it. His reaction is priceless.  He ran back to me and hugged me.

“Thank you y/n, for this i am really unable to tell you how much I needed this”, he said and kissed me on the lips and he tasted like fresh mint as always. “I love you more than anything you know”, he said again softly.

“ I love you too Joonie and I know how much tired you were so I decided to bring you here”, I said and then continued, “ and I am sorry I haven’t done much this year I was so confused for doing something special for you I hope I didn’t mess up”, I ask him.

“ of course not baby, you made this so much more special I can’t even express how much this meant to me”, he said and again gave me a peck.

I hugged him again and listened to his heartbeat. I know this is cringe but his heartbeat is my favorite melody. We quietly watched the sea in each other’s arms. 

“Oh shoot I forgot”, I shouted. Joon became worried when I shouted like this he asked, “what happened y/n?”

“Wait for a moment here I will be back soon”, I said and ran towards our car before he could question me anything.

I came back holding the cake I baked for him. He smiled and when I reached him I saw he had tears in his eyes. I smiled seeing him happy and said, “Make a wish and blow the candles”.

He closed his eyes momentarily and made a wish and then blew the candles off. I asked again, “what did you wish?”

“Make a guess”, he said.

“Umm I don’t know tell me”, I replied.

“I wished I would have you by my side forever”, he said and leaned forward and fed me a small piece of cake.

“You know what, I hope your wish come true”, I smiled.
