About the new Gym Leader Nessa

Y’all do realize she’s designed the way she is, right?

I already headcanon her being a competitive swimmer, and let me tell you, the way you all are redesigning her (with the exception of one who put a full body suit underneath her current suit which I’ll explain later on), is absolutely atrocious!

Nessa is supposed TO HAVE a skin tight swim suit! It’s what gives her an advantage in the water to gain speed. She can’t have anything that’s loose on her body, otherwise it’s going to cause a severe amount of drag in the water and slow her down. Now, to an extent a swim shirt could be okay (keyword okay) but even then, it does have a small amount of drag, and she wouldn’t have the speed she needs in the water to keep up with the competition.

Now female swimmers can have any style of competition suit they’d like (suit with legs that either go halfway down the thigh, down to the knee, and all the way down to the ankles). Now granted in my 15+ years of competitive swimming, I really haven’t seen anyone use a competitively designed bikini for actual competition, but there are athletic bikinis women use for cool down and Nessa does seem to have just that; and even those are a bit skin tight!

And I find it funny no one complained about the female swimmer trainers we had to fight over the years wearing bikinis and dudes wearing speedos but now y’all say something?
