Funeral

Today’s prompt was “Funeral”, and I had acquired some new linocut brushes which I thought would be interesting to play with. I liked the idea of silhouettes but wasn’t sure what to do with the background and foreground. I wanted the main figures to stand out but didn’t want the space around them to be blank, nor did I have the energy to really do a great deal stroke-by-stroke. So this is the end result!

Jester

Today’s prompt is Jester! I tried to dk a full-body one but my akill level was nowhere near rhat. So instead I went with a Venetian mask that looks like a jester! For this one, I played with a risograph style brush and appropriately set layers, using a newsprint texture from Retro Supply Co, as well as their brushes and stamps, particularly the paper scuff and fold stamps, to give it that worn paper look.

Today’s prompt is ectoplasm and I had an interesting time with this one! Mediums of the day would use bandages soaked in eggwhite and shove them in literally every possible place (yes, even *there*) in order to “produce” it during a seance. Bleh. I decided to go with something a bit more Ghost Busters for this challenge!
