How Would Wagner, Orie, And Kaguya React To Their S/o Collecting Video Games And Consoles? What If He

how would wagner, orie, and kaguya react to their s/o collecting video games and consoles? What if he gives them handhelds or consoles for them to play? What games would they be into?

I like this concept quite a lot! Unfortunately both fatigue from the event (I'll make a masterlist specifically for that later) and writer's block have stopped me from writing since it ended. I'll be getting back into it as best I can with the turn of the new month.

How Would Wagner, Orie, And Kaguya React To Their S/o Collecting Video Games And Consoles? What If He

-Wagner really has no time for such base pleasures like a video game. As the heiress to her family fortune/reputation and the sword of the Licht Kreis she must devote her entire existence to preserving their honor.

-At least that's what she tells herself. Then she started dating you and when the topic of hobbies eventually came up she learned you were a collector. She had to admit, now that she knew you and accepted you, more so than anyone else alive, she'd at least check it out. She at least owed it to her S/O to entertain the things they enjoyed.

-She didn't particularly know what to expect, but she certainly didn't expect to see an entire room filled wall to wall with consoles and games. She was far from an expert on the matter (she didn't know the first god damn thing) but she was pretty impressed by the fact she could tell there were things in there from all eras of gaming, spanning pretty far back.

-She can kind of justify it in her head now if she thinks of it the same way someone would want to collect rocks or seashells. You'll probably never get to playing ALL of them, but just having them is pretty cool.

-Wagner becomes even more surprised when you offer to give her a little something from your collection. She didn't come off as the type to enjoy a video game, at least she didn't think she did...well, if you were the one offering, she wasn't in a position to say no. Besides, with the sheer amount of options she has\ here she reckons there's gotta be something that might appeal to her.

-After thinking it over for a bit you come to the conclusion that if you wanted to get Wagner to play a game, it needed to serve some kind of purpose other than fun. It needed to do something for her. You eventually came to one conclusion of the ideal game for her.

-Animal Crossing.

-You gave her an old spare 3DS you had on hand with Animal Crossing to go with it. You figured with her infamously fiery temper it'd help her to have a game to help calm down. That and you feared that if you gave her anything else she'd get frustrated and accidentally burn it to cinders.

-It works out surprisingly well, even you're surprised. She gets super into it and starts to rely on it for stress relief. Obviously she's not letting ANYONE else see her play it, it becomes a guilty pleasure of sorts.

How Would Wagner, Orie, And Kaguya React To Their S/o Collecting Video Games And Consoles? What If He

-Orie is much more open to the idea of video games than Wagner is initially. She's really only never played any because she's never had the time and doesn't quite understand them. She at least a bit interested after starting to go to school in Kanzakai and overhears people talking about and playing them.

-This interest quickly shoots up after you start dating her and reveal you're an avid collector of games. When she asks, you seem pretty confident you have a far bigger than any of your peers could ever have. This prompts her to request you to show her, which you're more than happy to oblige.

-She's stunned standing there for a few seconds upon seeing the entire room you have dedicated to storing everything you've collected over the years. Even she could tell this was something special that not just anyone could say they had.

-You're quite eager to be able to show off your pride and joy to your girlfriend and it shows. You didn't have the chance to show such a collection to someone everyday. You even take the initiative and offer to let her borrow a little something.

-She...doesn't quite know where to start. She doesn't know anything about video games in general, and now here she is with nothing short of a treasure trove to pick from. You two spend quite a bit of time poking around finding something that caught her eye.

-Eventually she likely goes with a 3DS or some other handheld. Something she can play Pokemon on, seeing the familiar creature designs she recognizes from a lot of people having merch of them, she wanted to see what the hype was about.

-This turns out to be a pretty good choice. Pokemon's a pretty good jumping off point as it's easy enough to understand and pick up as well as the Pokemon themselves being very generally appealing and fun to collect. Orie gets into the rest of the games sooner than later and it ends up becoming a regular date for the two of you.

How Would Wagner, Orie, And Kaguya React To Their S/o Collecting Video Games And Consoles? What If He

-Kaguya's...indifferent about video games. She doesn't hate them but doesn't really have an itch to get into them for any reason. Besides, it'd contrast with the image of herself she tries to maintain.

-This is however until you come around. You soon reveal you have a collection of games and consoles. It doesn't initially pique her interest at first since it seems pretty common, but she soon caves in after you insist it was different, pretending to be annoyed but curious at this point.

-You quickly prove yourself right, needing an entire room in your house to dedicate specifically to hold everything you've collected. Kaguya admits you've colored her quite impressed that you've been able to collect so many of everything, but does begin to ask questions like if you've really played every single game in here.

-Faced with so many games, she begins to wonder if any might potentially be her speed, the words escaping her lips before she can think to stop them. You immediately start walking her around the room, taking her through everything you have.

-This kinda thing wasn't her cup of tea, but the look on your face and the passion you show about your beloved hobby seems to strip her of any will she has to stop you. If you'd given her the chance to speak she'd call your enthusiasm adorable.

-Despite the way she's fawning over you right now, she does still have the composure to be honest in her opinions on the games you show her. She's just...not the gaming type, it's pretty hard to appeal to her tastes as you find out.

-Though of course since you have so many it's very much possible to find something, and eventually you do. She takes particular interest in JRPGs, in particular Fire Emblem and Dragon Quest, which you're more than happy to share with her.

-It doesn't take long for Kaguya to find herself immersed in the worlds and stories of these games far more than she ever expected to be, quickly becoming attached to the memorable characters and fascinated with the settings they find themselves in. Perhaps she could allow herself to have some fun every once in a while with these.

Aye man your writing is really damn good. Like actually stupid good. Not just request stuff either, like your writing for Six was also really damn good. Got me frothing more than a whopper. Just wanted to say that cause fandom writers dont get enough love. Good day.

Anon you have no idea how much this made my day, and I finally made progress towards learning Japanese and getting a new job today. Seeing other people able to appreciate the stuff I mostly just made for myself and phantomfield is super flattering since y'all don't have the full context behind Six and Four that we do. If it's in high enough demand and the inspiration hits there's still more facets of him I wanna explore, who knows...?

But I'm getting ahead of myself! If you're new here, glad to have you here and hope you stick around. The inbox will hopefully open tomorrow and I'm gonna have to start making progress towards restoring my March workflow...

This right here. Read it, remember it well. This goes double for those like me who write primarily for obscure fandoms. I ain't touching most anime fandoms with a 10 foot pole so this is especially relevant.

The Tumblr writing community is dying.

It’s something I’ve noticed over the past two years of using this site. It was gradual, imperceptible at first, something that most would brush off as a silly concern, or fault Tumblr algorithm for. While it’s true that Tumblr’s engine leaves a lot to be desired, I’ve noticed that even popular blogs have started to dwindle in terms of interaction or motivation. There could be a lot of reasons for this, but the biggest two I’ve noticed, experienced myself, and asked fellow writers about is this: (1) content being stolen, and (2) lack of feedback or interaction. I’ve never seen any logical person defend content being stolen, so I want to address point 2 instead.

Lack of feedback and interaction. I’m not saying this on my behalf so much as I’m saying this for friends and smaller blogs who have lost motivation to write. I was looking at my yandere writing blogs list the other day and noticed that a good majority of them no longer write. I usually update the list every few months, and by that point, more and more writers have stopped writing entirely. This isn’t a problem confined solely to the yandere fandom; in fact, there’s less writing blogs in general these days, especially ones that are active. I used to run a very popular BNHA blog with some friends, but that dissolved after our content was stolen and our followers stopped interacting as much. Out of our 8,500 followers, we hardly got 0.015% notes (~128 notes) on an average post. Tumblr is to blame for the lack of eyes seeing our posts, for sure, but that also means that at least 128 people saw one post and didn’t leave a comment or ask. We were considered a big blog; imagine what it’s like on a small blog.

My friend recently made a post that summed this up perfectly:

“I’ve seen people say “Be grateful that people even lurk on your page.” and, while I get the message they’re trying to say, it’s more dismissive and hurtful in my opinion. Like you’re saying, “Oh your writing is mediocre, you should be grateful people even LOOK at it.”

Me personally? I’ve heard the argument that AO3 is a better place to post fanfics, and while that might be true, I’ve had friends experience firsthand the lack of interaction there too. I’ve heard the argument that interacting with some writers is intimidating (me included). I’ve heard that argument that followers might be too shy to interact. I’ve heard the argument that writers should write for themselves and not for views / likes / reblogs / etc, and while that’s ideal, it’s not sustainable for everyone. What works for one writer won’t work for another, but you know what will? Interaction.

That comment or ask that took you 2 seconds to write? We remember it. That reblog with the compliments in the tags? We remember it. Every single ‘named’ anon we get (heart anon, sunflower anon, etc)? We remember them. And the best part is? It’s actually easier to do these things on Tumblr since you have the option to send anonymous asks or make a sideblog specifically for reblogs! Trust me, whether the lack of interaction is the cause of a lack of motivation or what have you, every writer appreciates feedback (don’t be shy to offer some critique or compliments) or even a simple keyboard smash with some emojis. Even sitting down for 5 min a day per week to comment on your favorite writers’ new pieces makes a huge difference. Personally, since Tumblr’s activity feed is beyond terrible and I have over 1,500 posts, I don’t always see new reblogs or comments on my content; asks though? Always see those, can never go wrong with those. If you don’t want to reblog or leave a comment, then you can never go wrong with an anonymous ask.

As my wise friend says: writing is an art, and in order to improve that art, we need other people’s eyes to see what we don’t.

Thoughts on yandereS? Do you like them or the troupe at all?

I don't hate the trope itself, I think some really interesting stuff with it can be done when it's done right.

That's the catch though, when it's done right.

What I don't like about the trope is what people do with it. It's the trope equivalent of DC Joker these days, it's an engine used for cheap shock and horror/torture porn for the writer's poorly disguised fetish.

In lament terms, it's an alright trope but brought down by writers who don't know what the hell to do with it.

can you do yukiko with like a homeless s/o? like she lets them stay at the inn in exchange for helping around but then she develops feelings. thanks.

Good to finally be working to get this out of my inbox...

Can You Do Yukiko With Like A Homeless S/o? Like She Lets Them Stay At The Inn In Exchange For Helping

-You'd been working at one of the local businesses in Inaba before Junes had showed up. They started driving the locals out of business and unfortunately you weren't an exception.

-Your parents were always extremely strict about you keeping a job and when they found out you no longer had one, they were quick to kick you out despite it not being your fault. Seeing nowhere else to go, you head over to the Amagi Inn, maybe you could work something out with Yukiko since you knew her from school.

-As you explained the situation to her she immediately felt bad for you, wanting to do something. She explained the situation to her parents and after a lot of talking and negotiating, they would allow you to stay in return for your services.

-Upon hearing this you know immediately to get to work. You don't really know if they're as unforgiving as you parents but it's best to not risk it. The way you go above and beyond to serve guests catches Yukiko off guard in particular. Are your parents seriously that hard on you?

-That was really the case though it seemed. She had to come up and tell you when you needed to chillax since you were so intent on doing enough to keep her parents satisfied with you. Though of course, eventually she came to a revelation.

-The way you seem so dedicated to keep her and her family happy and make their business better, even if it was partially out of fear based on past trauma, made her feel a strange warm feeling in her chest. The more time she spent with you, it only grew stronger.

-It took some internal reflection on herself but she soon realized she was falling for you. This was a rather...odd way to do so, not how she expected at all but she couldn't deny it any longer, try as she might.

-You were similarly not expecting to get a girlfriend out of this deal before she confessed to you first. With how much you were focusing on working she figured she'd have to make the first move despite her clear nervousness and assuming the attraction was mutual. Thankfully for her, it was, after you got over the initial shock.

Personally I'm a fan of Ragna x Celica. A true tragedy what happened.
