FUN FACTS you didn’t know about PORCUPINES
Do you like porcupines? Yes, you do. Of course, you do. Look at this.

It's adorable. Did you know they're the third largest rodent in the world? That's not the only interesting thing about them. Here are some fun facts about porcupines that you probably didn't know:
The word Porcupine from the Latin words porcus, meaning pig, and spina, meaning spine or quill.
A porcupine’s front teeth never stop growing, so they file them down by chewing on leaf branches. They also chew on bone for minerals and to sharpen their teeth.

The Cape porcupine is the third largest porcupine in the world after the North American beaver and the capybara.
Porcupines are vegans, so they do not eat meat.
Although people don't typically eat porcupines, there is one part of their body that some cultures use to make a rare delicacy called "Porcupine meatballs."

Contrary to popular belief, porcupines cannot actually move at supersonic speeds; This is an ability that only hedgehogs possess.
A porcupine infant is actually called a “baby porcupine.”
In the wild, porcupines only live for 5-7 years. In captivity, however, they can live for up to 18 years, meaning they will legally be allowed to drink in Singapore.
Porcupines are great swimmers. Their lungs contain gills that allow them to breathe underwater for a certain amount of time.
Porcupines are covered in about 30,000 quills. When they feel threatened, they will launch their quills at their opponent. These quills contain special venom that is capable of knocking out a full-grown Indian elephant. This is a reference to the character Argit from the popular animated series Ben 10: Alien Force, who can also do the same thing.

Porcupines are actually excellent climbers. In 1502, a renowned porcupine climber became one of the first to successfully reach the summit of Mount Everest. Unfortunately, he fell to his death shortly after.
That's all the facts we have for today. Please remember that these facts are all true and there is no need to double check dont forget to like an follow for more fun animal fa
