In Swedish “rosett” means bow so I gave her a bunch of bows and ribbons. 😊

One question: Which VERSION of the Queen Clarion do you like best? The version of the BOOKS or the version of the MOVIES? Personally, I love the version of the BOOKS more (where her dress is made with flower petals); If you look at my drawings, that is precisely the version that I have used, as they present her more beautiful and even closer to the other fairies. The movies' version is so much ETHEREAL (her dress is made by pixie dust) and she seems so far from the other fairies.

Being from a country where the book era wasn't marketed much, I first met Queen Clarion as the movie version, so that one will always hold a special place in my heart. Like you said, she's so ethereal and special.

However, what I like about the books, both in design and in character, is that she's actually just a regular fairy who just happens to be queen. Her outfit and look are much more regular, and it is clearly shown that she has character flaws too, which I like, because I don't believe in flawless authority figures.

Movie Clarion feels a bit like a crossing between book Clarion and Mother Dove: a wise, calm authority figure, even more magical than anyone else, and her subjects are blindly loyal to her. She's almost a different creature than the regular fairies, with her special wings and powers and her being the oldest fairy (I like that in the books it is mentioned at some point that, while older than most, Clarion isn't the first and only fairy queen ever).

I think both versions have their merits, but I do tend to gravitate towards the book version most
