"A Cry from the Heart of the Tent"
Ahmed, living in a tent isn’t just a challenge; it’s a daily struggle that weighs heavily on the heart and drains the soul. Existing beneath a thin sheet of fabric that can’t shield you from the bitter cold of the night or the scorching heat of the sun leaves you feeling exposed, without a real shelter. Every moment under a sky filled with hardships feels like a test, and yet, I must raise donations to afford the basic necessities that can preserve my dignity.
Living in these conditions brings constant anxiety. There’s no rest from worrying about tomorrow, no peace from the fear of whether I’ll be able to find a warm meal or even a safe place to sleep. Privacy is nonexistent, and safety feels threatened at every turn. You feel isolated from the outside world, as though life continues without noticing your pain. For this reason, I need to raise donations to secure the essentials that will bring me and my loved ones some stability.
The days pass slowly, filled with small struggles that accumulate into mountains of burdens. Everything feels hard; even simple tasks like finding water or staying clean become daily battles. The fear of losing the few belongings you have left only adds to the sense of fragility. That’s why I must gather donations—to improve these painful circumstances and escape this life filled with suffering.

how they saved us from death after we lost a number of our family members and our home and became homeless without clothes, food or money. We surrendered to death more than once, but every time your support gave me hope. I will not take much of your time, I want to show you what we bought thanks to your donations.
First, we bought a donkey ($5,000). You may think that this amount is unreasonable for a donkey, but with Israel preventing the entry of fuel for cars, the donkey and its cart became the only means of transportation. The main reason for buying it was to be the fastest means of escape for us if the tanks approached us, so we could ride the donkey and run away. We were also able to provide fodder for the donkey and medicine for its wounds.
We also arranged the tent and bought aluminum sheets for the roof of the tent to prevent the rain from entering the tent ($2,000).
We also bought winter clothes for the children because, as I told you before, we fled without clothes ($364).
We also bought full supplies to protect us from the risk of starvation ($312) .
We bought slippers for all of us because the ground and dirt are very polluted and polio has spread in the camp, each slipper costs ($28).
We bought a water barrel ($200) so we don't have to carry water in small buckets to the tent.

Before October 7th, I was a successful business man who owned a driving school and graduated from the business management school. I worked hard to secure a decent and happy life to my family, and did my best to raise my children with dignity, pride, and respect. However, once the aggression started on Gaza, we were forced to evacuate our house and left everything behind. I struggle every single day to secure 1 single meal for my children. Specially my older son, Ibrahim, who suffers from the Celiac disease and needs a special food which I am unable to find in Gaza at this current time.
Unfortunately everything I owned is completely lost after my house and business got bombed and destroyed. We are currently suffering slow death in Gaza, sharing a small apartment with other families and living a devastating life.

The girl has brain atrophy and needs physical and occupational treatment. She was receiving treatment before the war, and with the beginning of the war, our house and my car were destroyed. I lost all my possessions, dreams, and what I had accomplished during the trip.
