More relativity Falls contentttt, Trying to translate the rivalry in this swap, came to the conclusion that fiddleford is just oblivious!

things i noticed re-watching gravity falls s1 ep 3

(this one is very ~ford heavy~ and provides some of the first big clues to his existence)

1. yes those are supposed to be the queen of england and nixon

2. mabel's second drawing of "a waffle with big arms" wind up actually guarding her castle in weridmaggedon

3. imo i think dipper trying to get mabel to make a statue of someone in the family was actually him trying to get mabel to make a statue of him lmao

4. this one is definitely a coincidence but mabel saying "oh muse you work in mysterious ways." could be taken as the first reference to bill?

5. stan freaked out when he saw the wax figure bc he thought it was ford.

6. furthermore stan's obsession with the wax figure originally makes him look like an egomaniac but in actuality it was probably the closest he'd come to actually having ford back

7. the scuba diving helmet thing in the mystery shack also shows up in stan's mindscape and is prob referencing his and ford's desire to sail around the world together

9. little detail but dipper's ID says his age is 45, a middle-aged man while mabel's says 21 which is just over the legal age she needs to get into the bar. this difference could reflect mabel and dipper's different views of what an adult looks like. while dipper wants to appear older and more mature mabel is just fine as being viewed as a young 20-something woman. the dipper-wants-to-grow-up-too-fast and mabel-wants-to-stay-the-same-age biz

10. this one is more of a headcanon ig but i always viewed this funeral as stan's chance to give ford (and maybe his old identity?) a proper burial and ceremony that he never got to do when Ford first disappeared
