HAIL, TRUE BODY - Part 5

When Cian pulled away, he wished, just for a moment, to drag him back in. To hold on so soundly that his knuckles cracked with the strength of it, to never let go ever again. To hide himself so wholly and completely within the only person left in the world that he could trust that he’d never have to leave it again. Secure and safe and protected.

Cian pushed the hair out of Mark’s face, eyes roving down the just-healed injuries he himself had stitched back together in the tiny bathroom of the apartment. Mark saw the worry, the guilt in his gaze, and his chest ached once more at the reminder that it was because this person cared.

And what a precious thing that was to have.

Amidst the loss and confusion of recent events, Mark Owens falls into a crisis of faith like never before. It certainly doesn't help that God is silent despite his cries, pushing him ever further onto a path of revenge. Cian Daniels is trying his best to keep this kid as safe as he can whilst meeting Mark halfway, before he can get himself killed.

A direct continuation of 'Mimicry'.

Main Cast for Parts 1-5

Character heights and refs, plus base swatches for the main cast of Hail, True Body so far! These are everyone’s 1993 designs and I will be releasing the new ones for Part 6 once The Good Samaritan wraps up. Mimic!Cesar hasn’t been included here as he looks exactly the same as the real Cesar, just with very subtle narrow cat-like pupils lol :)

One thing that I love about being in a community is that people will always find a way to dumb down/simplify their favs no matter what so I drew some of the tropes I like the most

I always kinda thought Chip looked a little like a chao... then this comic happened! (Not a reincarnation situation or anything, just a chao that looks like Chip in the same way that some chao can look like Sonic, Knuckles, Amy etc.)

Probably brings back some memories for Sonic!

This was my first time using Procreate and actually trying my hand at digital art properly so whilst it isn’t perfect, I am proud of how it turned out :) really tried to capture that old style painting of saints vibe that I’m a big fan of.
