He doesn’t think Jerome is sophisticated enough to use earpieces, but regardless, he doesn’t see one. “Unless Jerome is hiding behind the curtain.” He wouldn’t put that past his brother, especially if Alexis is in the room. Jeremiah has no idea what she sees in him. He doesn’t know why she isn’t enthralled with him. Jeremiah is quite obviously the smarter twin. His plans are better, too. “I sincerely hope he isn’t, however. This is not a conversation for his ears.” No conversation between himself and Alexis is ever for Jerome’s ears, but he feels the need to reiterate it anyway, just in case Alexis didn’t know.
