Do you have any deities that you’re looking to reach out to or deepen your relationships with in the new year???

For me, I absolutely want to grow even closer to Apollo and Artemis. But I also really want to reignite my worship of Eris (I really miss her so much), work more closely with Zeus, and reach out to Hephaestus!

I swear some times the gods are treated like cartoon characters by people and it absolutely drives me up the wall.

Literal gods, like i get it that people have different connections but i would not be caught dead "playing favorites" or picking "whos the coolest god omgs" or "who has the most controversy" i swear people act like their celebrities that you can just pick from the roster and have an eternal celebrity walking around with you that you get to play favorites with

When the reality of practice is a bond formed over time and a two way street that requires dedication and trust. You have to work for a bond you have to show up and be there and theyll meet you half way. Dont disrespect that by shoving another deity or other deitys down because you have a "favorite" dont you think they value their bonds with eachother? Dont you see they have a community outside of /you/ cant you stop being the mc for like two seconds and realize it isnt entirely about just you and that the gods have other people they care about too??? Maybe other gods???

Im just tired of tiktok and polls being like "whos your favorite greek god" when i thought it was common knowladge that they infact dont appreciate being compared to one another and its just happening all the time like a game

Just bothers me some times, like you can say you have a bond or you love one particularly, but saying you play favorites with gods is too much.

part of me enjoys the Gods the most when They manifest in the worst qualities. Aphrodite is my hypersexuality when it begins to slip out of control, Dionysos is my disorders and symptoms when they start to consume me, Hermès is my raging brain who refuses to do necessary work or doesn't want to get out of bed in the morning.

it makes me feel less alone. like my flaws and lows don't make me a terrible person. the Gods exist in all that is good and all that is bad. Their neutrality soothes me. I know that no matter how hard I fuck up, the Gods will kiss my nose and wipe my tears for they know exactly the way I feel.

it's different that way. a God can be as forgiving as They wish but nothing will ever compare to knowing a Divinity exists in my faults. a God touches them and embraces them as apart of Their domain. They ARE my faults, They are the world's faults. They are perfect in Their imperfection.

the Gods teach me that it is Divine to be imperfect.
