Its Time For The Bitch, Rachel
It’s time for the bitch, Rachel

She’s a bitch. She will always be a bitch. Literally the only thing I changed about her is her name lol-
Rachel is Evan’s bully, and while this was briefly implied in the original story, but I really want to go into it in the rewrite. This will become especially important once Rachel’s… well, killed. Because this leaves Evan conflicted. But he knows The Masked Queen is involved, and that Rachel didn’t deserve to die… right?
I’m still going to keep her bitchy attitude towards Mackenzie’s disappearance. For those that don’t know: When Mackenzie disappears ( well, dies in the original story) Rachel thrives, enjoying all the attention being on her as “ Mackenzie’s poor bff”. Mackenzie and Rachel had a very toxic relationship, with Mackenzie constantly putting Rachel down and Rachel talking shit behind her back/ spreading rumors. Needless to say, when Mackenzie is gone, Rachel barely blinks.
Now, while Mackenzie was rude due to her indifference, Rachel is straight up cruel. She will do everything in her power to make your life a living hell, ripping you apart from your deepest fears and insecurities. Due to this behavior… she makes a lot of enemies. Including The Masked Queen.

Updated designs for some of the boys
We finally reach her, the girl who starts it all, our missing girl, Mackenzie

Don’t ask me why I switched her and Rachel’s names, I just thought Mackenzie fit her better.
There’s not a whole lot I changed with her, since… well she wasn’t in the original story long. Mackenzie was only in the first chapter, and then boom, she’s dead. I guess that is a difference, since I plan on giving her a bit more time in the book before she disappears. That way, the reader at least knows her a bit better when she disappears.
Mackenzie is almost like a goddess, floating above the other kids at school. She barely notices those she deems “ below her” and only gives her attention to a few people. But she knows she’s in control, and that others are desperate for her attention and validation.
She’s not the kindest person, that’s obvious, but she doesn’t care. Why should she? It’s her world. However, this mentality is what eventually leads to her downfall. Piss off too many people, don’t be surprised when they bring out the pitchforks and torches.
So next up on my The Masked Queen rewrite, we have Hannah!

So Hannah has had a bit of an overhaul, with not even her original name being kept. I wanted her to stand out as more of a social chameleon that pretends to be a social butterfly, mimicking how the other girls at school dress, talk, behave, etc.
She’s still Evan’s childhood friend, so there’s still the fun ~ twist~ at the end of the story. However, instead of the two being best friends and extremely close like how they were in the original story, in the rewrite they will have grown apart a little, hanging out in different circles and only interacting outside of school. There’s a reason for that… but we’ll save that for later~. But just like in the original story, once Evan starts investigating things, she’ll team up with him.
I’m also planning to dive a little bit more into her backstory, which should be very fun~. Tbh, out of all the characters, I’m the most excited to rewrite her. I was never 100% satisfied with how I did Hannah’s character, and I can’t wait to finally do her justice.
