It's actually funny because Max kinda flirts already with Lewis in his own way and slowly (but not noticeable) falls in love with Lewis while trying to keep the uglier side of his hidden (I won't spoil too much)

Rereading the article that led them here, Lewis watches as Max rushes through the halls and stairways, disregarding his mask and hood slipping away, exposing his identity to the hospital staff.

After contacting Oscar for confirmation, Max had a switch flip inside of him and he used Lewis' most treasured car to speed their way towards the hospital. Lewis doesn't think his boss will like the twenty-nine speeding records plopped down on his desk on Monday.

"I'll fucking strangle this motherfucker later this day. Just give me one Red Bull and he'll die faster than Senna got that underaged girl by his side," he can hear Max angrily huffing while taking three stairs at a time, impressing and yet scaring the police officer.

For all the time they had spent together already, Max had never shown him such aggression and hatred for someone as right now and he thought he could understand the Dutchman but at the same time, violence will never be the answer to whatever happened.

Within the blink of an eye, Lewis sees Max shoving doctors and nurses aside to almost break open a door, only to jump into the room which lies behind it.

"I'm deeply sorry, please let me through," he walks through the mass and also enters the room, closing the door behind him and freezes once he sees the look Max throws at him. Why would he look at him like that?

"I can't believe you're so incompetent to let that vile monster of a fucking copycat get to my brothers and almost kill them!" Max shouts with unrestrained anger and Lewis has to take a step back to not feel overwhelmed.

All three of Max's brothers sit in their own hospital beds, clothes bloody and torn while looking at Max rather than the officer. Lando seems to be the worst one; an elegant and expensive-looking suit is torn into almost nothing but loose shreds that hang off his bloodied and bruised body but he seems proud of whatever.

"Max, relax," he looks at Max and despite his swollen face and cut lips, he grins widely. "We got away with our lives and are now treated, you don't have to kill anymore. I can also protect Logan and Dilano from now on, just focus on that mission and lessen your sentence."

This seems to enrage Max and he stands up to walk around the room like a caged feral lion, ready to lash out and attack whatever comes too close.

"I told you to never get involved with violence, even if you didn't start shit! You got your lives still ahead of you, without my name tainting it! My life was over since I killed that bastard Jos. My violence should never reach you! And now look at what happened!"

"But we might have the last hint to get to know the copycat," Dilano speaks up and tries to find something in the darkness, his eyes being hidden behind thick bandages.

That moment when I forget when Max's first kill was in the Urbex Killer AU because I want to make a rough timeline of his kills 😩😩

Watching the "Chupa" movie really brings out soft me but also angsty me because of new ideas 🥺🥺
