As I've got many new ideas for the next chapter, I present you a small snippet of said chapter

"And I'm not sure if you already knew it from Lando but Daniel came by yesterday to apologise."

The mood immediately shifts and Lewis can feel Max's emotions even in the bedroom; the feeling of suppressed anger ready to burst is too strong and Lewis, despite better judgement, decides to go to Max.

There's no explanation for his behaviour and actions, Lewis just does what he feels like he should do and right now, he wants to know what exact emotion has claimed its place on Max's face, what exact expression he makes while holding the phone and what exact emotion does he want to act on.

Quickly sneaking through the hotel room, Lewis spots Max's still half-naked body standing in the room's kitchen, phone set down on the kitchen counter and hands holding onto the once-cold surface to keep Max from buckling.

Concerned for his partner's well-being, Lewis carefully comes closer, making sure Max can hear him approaching before carefully putting his tattooed hand on Max's shoulder, noticing how quickly the younger is tense up, ready to strike.

"It's just me," he whispers and Max relaxes a bit, cautiously stepping closer to Lewis as if he seeks something from him and Lewis lets him be closer.

Taking a deep breath, Max closes his eyes and presses out words Lewis knows have to weigh heavy on his tongue. "That's nice for you but please stay cautious around him."

"Don't worry, I won't let him see Dilano, you've got my word! And besides, he's not particularly nice to me, only to Lando. Fuck, he even flirts with him despite Lando telling him he's not comfortable with the idea of dating him."

This seems to get Max in a better mood as a small smile replaces the frown he sported and Lewis feels his own body lighten a bit. A soft smile suits Max far better than a smirk or his crazy smile.
