(Hey! So this one-shot fic is for the first day of Choices September Challenge “Rain” hosted by @i-dream-so-i-write​ and @choices-september-challenge…basically its my interpretation of what happens after Perfect Match Book 1′s cliffhanger. I began writing this BEFORE pb confirmed that Damien was actually a robot but now with that news i find it makes this fic seem more canon somehow haha. Also I had to download the notebook and make this gif bc every damn rain gif i found was kissing in the rain lmao. Anyways, enjoy!)

 “Damien?!” 

 Kaila stared up at him in shock. His grip on her hand was almost cutting off her circulation and she could feel a sickness rising up in her stomach.

 Damien couldn’t describe the paintings. Not a single one of them. But then again, he had never been that interested in art anyways…surely he couldn’t be a robot, could he? The thought was messing with her mind, like a tick burrowing under her skin, it wouldn’t go away. This was her friend, her…well they’d not made it official yet, but she cared deeply about him…

 All of a sudden he let go of her hand and began to stride across the museum determinedly. Kaila gawped after him for a second before giving chase, the small heels of her boots skidding across the marble as she ran after him and out of the museum’s large front doors.

 “Hey, hey, hey! Wait up!” she called out, as he practically shot outside.
