And with that -- Inktober wraps up once again! Thanks so much for all the appreciation along the way. This month has been very difficult & Inktober's been a great distraction/companion. Now to focus on some other fun stuff! 🌟💖

I thought the earth remembered me, she took me back so tenderly, arranging her dark skirts, her pockets full of lichens and seeds. I slept as never before, a stone on the riverbed, nothing between me and the white fire of the stars but my thoughts, and they floated light as moths among the branches of the perfect trees. All night I heard the small kingdoms breathing around me, the insects, and the birds who do their work in the darkness. All night I rose and fell, as if in water, grappling with a luminous doom. By morning I had vanished at least a dozen times into something better.

that isn’t the breakup though. you struggle, and limp, and drive yourself to d.c. drunk a dozen more times, and tai looks more and more brittle every time you see her. you finally call her in mid-march, higher than you want to be in your childhood bedroom, six weeks after shauna's nightmare wedding, the memory of tai's soft smile and pretty curls and satin bridesmaid’s dress choking you.
