Yeah, so here’s what I’m thinking,

Dazai and Chuuya have patched things up and have been dating for a good four months. But Chuuya is scared that Dazai will leave him again so he asks them the same question.

Dazai just stares at him, and Chuuya gets a little nervous and hides it by acting irritated. A minute or two pass and Dazai starts laughing and poor Chuuya is thinking their gonna say “no.”

But Dazai stops laughing and has a little smirk on their face and says, “Maybe,” with a shrug. And now Chuuya is somewhat relieved and irritated at the same time, because he knows Dazai won’t give him a serious answer now.

And in Dazai’s mind all they can think is ‘yeah, maybe I’ll stay alive if I can stay with you, Chibi.’

The fact that the 2011 HunterxHunter didn’t include the scene with Kite and Gon in the beginning, (like it did in the 1999 version and the manga), to show why Kite meant so much to Gon really makes me upset. So now the people that only watched the 2011 and not the 1999, or read the manga don’t know and just think Gon was just being dramatic during the Chimera arc.
