I am an aspiring author. My biggest dream in life is to publish my book and be able to make a happy living as a fantasy novelist. I have been writing a high-fantasy character driven novel known as Party of Three for five years now. It is almost done. Here in this blog, I hope to record my progress and talk about the thing I have the most passion for in life, my book. This is a place for me to talk about lore and other fun things, promote my book, and just rant about writing and whatever is on my mind. Thank you for viewing my page!My RoyalRoad: https://www.royalroad.com/profile/310331

How Cuddleable Are Your OCs?
I got tagged by @jev-urisk, so might as well :D
Premise: Answer the title question using a scale of 1-10 and give context.
These are the "main six" from Party of Three.
(also im re-flavoring the prompt to how huggable as in b1 Taka is 15, Beriyl is 16, and while they might be adults in their world its weird asf by our worlds standards, and i have 0 idea how cuddle-able they'd be, but i have more than enough figured out for hugs!)
fun little fact: i used the color of the persons soul for their text color here :D
(and i wrote up some what-ifs just for the prompt, the descriptions beneath the scored stuff. for everyone but qlul and eirairr :p)
Taka:
7/10 I think he's kind of an awkward hugger, but otherwise it'd be like getting a normal hug from your friend. I think sometimes he struggles with knowing what to say, so if he was trying to give you a comforting hug, hopefully the hug itself helps lol. It was a strange feeling, being hugged by yourself. Yet it wasn't a bad one-- Taka felt oddly calm in his copies embrace. "It's nice..." He murmured. His face nestled in his other self's scarf, he remained there for a time. The faint scent of cinnamon lingered in the air. "Yeah." It finally answered. 'Kinda creepy though. How is this even happening? Well... whatever.'
Beriyl:
7/10 This really, really depends tbh. If Beriyl's in a bad mood, good luck getting him to hug you at all. Other than that, his robes are probably really soft and he uses expensive cologne/perfume so I imagine it'd smell good. He's the best-groomed out of the six (not to say that Taka or Arthur neglect themselves, i think both of them do a good job too), so... like hugging a fresh, fluffy towel I guess? Beriyl wrapped his arms around Taka, pulling him close. "Wh- B- Beriyl?!" "..." "Uh..." For a moment, Taka hesitated, his arms stuck outward. But then, he wrapped them around Beriyl and returned the gesture. His mind swam in a pool of anxiety as his heart pounded in his chest, countless worries making themselves known-- was his posture too awkward? Did he smell bad? Did he remember to reapply the cinnamon stuff to his scarf? He did not remember. Uh... Hm. His robe was soft. And it smelled like flowers. 'Control yourself.' He commanded himself. 'Don't get a... Don't. Do not.' The hug was still happening. It was beginning to make Taka antsy. "U- uh... Beriyl?" In reply, the half-elf only squeezed him tighter. Taka exhaled a shaky breath and tried to steady his nerves. He returned the squeeze. It had felt comforting. He wanted to make sure Beriyl felt that, too. When Beriyl finally released him, Taka just smiled. A hug from your best friend was always nice. "Thanks." Beriyl beamed back. "The pleasure is mine."
Arthur:
8.5/10 Well, first of all... Arthur is huge. He's like, 6'3? It'd be like hugging your dad. Except you'd probably be a little scared he'd accidentally crush you to death, despite knowing he wouldn't ever. (The thing with Arthur is... if he really wanted to, he probably could. He's that strong.) That's the best way I can describe it. I think he gives really good, warm hugs. "Come here, Taka." Taka approached as told, and immediately found himself swooped up by Arthur's imposing form. "Whaagh!" "I'm so proud of you." Arthur was so warm. That was the thought pushing itself to the forefront of his mind as this happened. 'He really is like my dad. I guess I have two dads, huh? I mean, three, but... Wait, no. Arthur isn't my dad. That's weird. Well, no it isn't, but...' His thoughts meandered and spun about uselessly as they tended to do, and before long Taka was back on his feet, looking up at Arthur who was grinning down at him. "You've come so far." "...Yeah." Then, he turned to Beriyl, who immediately shrunk away. "You too, Beriyl. But you don't have to hug me if you don't want to."
Ecirr:
10/10 Feathery birdboi, but most of my evidence for him points towards being great. Taka describes him as a "beacon of warmth" or something to that extent iirc, so. He's a master of comforting/seducing smiles, he's definitely very flirtatious. I think his score goes up or down based on this, but i'd put him up on a 10 because of how hot he is. And also i bet his plumage is soft :p Taka found himself being suddenly pulled upward into the towering birdfolk's feathery embrace. As he was practically cradled against Ecirr's form, he felt a steady blush wash over his face. He tried to hide it, to no avail. Ecirr noticed this, and smiled like he tended to do down at him. Which only made him blush harder. 'Gods. Why the hells does he have to be so cool? And why do I feel like this every time he smiles at me?! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!!!!!!!!!' Yet, when those feelings subsided, all that remained was warmth and happiness. It was truly comforting. Like resting in a cloud of feathers, or something. Something like that... Taka could almost swear he was being lulled to sleep. ...
Qlul:
10/10
Same as Ecirr, he's warm and caring. I think he takes extra good care of his feathers and is very proud of him, so they're probably super soft, like Ecirr's. As a healer, he is a very genuine, kind person. I think that reflects in his hugs. And hey, maybe he can cast some healing magic on you while he hugs you :p
"This too, shall pass."
"....Qlul. Is there a specific reason you're doing that?"
lol
Eirairr:
1/10
Good luck getting him to stand still long enough, maybe if he was in a serious mood and there was a reason he'd hug you... It'd probably be pretty nice, because he's an elf. I imagine his hair is really soft and literally perfect.
But otherwise... I think he's going to be too busy climbing around everything like he's a 2 year old who just discovered a jungle gym for the first time.
"Uh... Eirairr?"
"Hold on! I wanna see what this is... See ya!"
responding to multiple tags like i said i would (finally)
i've been busy (read: depressed and lazy) for a while now and decided that, before i start writing today i'd reply to the tags i got a while back :P
might be a bit of a long post due to that but uh...
alright, here we go (srry for stealing your formatting @jev-urisk)
✨️Headcanon Rating Tag✨️
Rules: use this headcanon generator to generate some headcanons for your OCs! How accurate are they?
Using the two main parties from Party of Three
Taka
Taka has an intense fear of people. 3/10: While Taka is a very nervous/anxious person, I wouldn't say he has a fear of people. He has a fear of social situations maybe, lol.
Taka is an extrovert. 0/10: Taka is a introvert. This ties into him not liking social situations where he's near a ton of random people, why he's so nervous wandering around Leln for the first time, and why he has a hard time sleeping on the carriage ride there. He's obviously far calmer/extroverted around his friends, but i'd say around strangers he's 100% a introvert, although if you approach him he might find it easier to open up and talk to you after a little bit.
Taka gets bullied on roblox. 4/10: Taka would be the one doing the bullying on ROBLOX. This is such an incredibly funny one to me, if Taka and Beriyl and Arthur had been born into this world instead, I 100% guarantee a few things. Taka is the kind of kid to play Fortnite and do the dances irl to piss off people. Beriyl would hate it and Taka would find that so funny. Secretly, Beriyl would actually like Fortnite and if Taka found out, he'd make him duo with him. Taka is also the kinda kid to go on TikTok and start repeating all the brainrot terms out of a weird ironic comedy, not actually having brainrot but thinking that pretending to would be funny. (Also because it would piss off Beriyl) Arthur would stop them from fighting like he already does.
Beriyl:
Beriyl gets into Twitter discourse. 10/10: 100% 100% ONE-HUNDRED-PERCENT, he is the exact type of person to be easily anger-able by pretty much anything, ESPECIALLY if he's already in a bad mood, he would one HUNDRED percent have fruitless, long arguments with random internet strangers on youtube or something lol
Beriyl voted sans in the tumblr sexyman poll. 0/10: Beriyl probably would play Undertale but I don't think he'd find sans attractive. He'd probably draw some connections from sans to Taka's sense of humor (i bet Taka would vote sans cuz he'd think it'd be funny) but idk if he'd vote sans. maybe if Taka hijacked his account and voted for sans (which i could see happening, and then them fighting about it)
Beriyl is tumblr famous. 5/10: Either Beriyl would be very popular or very unpopular, but believe he deserves to be popular. He's a very vain person for a good part of the story, so his reaction to either way sorta depends on how much growth he's undergone personality-wise. Let's say that early Beriyl would believe he deserves popularity and not have it, and if he DID have it it would massively go to his head and result in a big ego trip, and if he didn't, he'd be really mad about it. Late-stage (i hesitate to say lategame but not sure how else to describe the end of book 1 chargrowth wise... latebook? XD) Beriyl probably wouldn't care either way.
Arthur:
Arthur can't spell resturaunt. 0/10: The headcanon website misspelled restaurant. Arthur's parents were merchants and educated him as best they could. I kinda doubt he wouldn't be able to spell restaurant. Beriyl can spell it. Taka maybe. Sometimes he has trouble writing long/"big" words. Qlul and Ecirr probably could write it. Eirairr would probably scribble all over the page and start laughing when you tell him that he didn't even write anything.
Arthur has fallen asleep at their desk while working in the middle of the night. 0/10: For the most part, i'm assuming this is an AU where they were born on Earth and not in Tamalnh, but Arthur has such a crazy work ethic I imagine he'd stay up all night to the point where this would happen. I mean, for the most part, if he has something he needs to do, he will just not sleep, to the detriment of his overall health. So for that reason, I was going to say 10/10, but Arthur is the kind of person to just refuse to sleep if he feels like he has something he needs to do (i.e protect someone) so, 0/10. Maybe 1/10, but... ok, moving on
Arthur has been canceled on Twitter. 0/10 Arthur would either not use Twitter, not understand Twitter, or have an account cuz Taka told him to sign up and barely use it. I can see him maybe having a cooking twitter or looking at Gordon Ramsay or smth, but he wouldn't be cancelled.
Qlul:
Qlul is oblivous to any and all romantic interest someone may show them. 4/10: The site misspelled oblivious. Anyway... I mean, he's dating Ecirr. But I can see this going two ways, him being oblivious or him knowing more than he lets on. so due to my indecisiveness, 4/10
If Qlul was presented with an intergalactic portal, they would enter it without question. 1/10: Most likely not, it depends how it "feels" to him. Is Ecirr there? What does Ecirr say about it? What are the stakes-- what does he stand to gain/lose? He's not the impulsive type-- I can't say I can see him jumping into a portal, especially not in a world where, yaknow, orbs of destruction exist. Eirairr probably would, if he "sensed" that it wouldn't kill him. Maybe. It depends lol (i doubt i'll end up calling them that, but i imagine that in dungeons things like that do exist. yes im talking about the destruction orbs from 5e)
Qlul is very willing to eat inedible things. 0/10 No. Kaardan cuisine is sorta weird, they probably use a lot of bugs, monsters and make lots of soup/stew, but... no, Qlul isn't gonna eat rocks.
Ecirr:
Ecirr has a stuffed animal under their bed. 3/10 If he did, it'd be of the messenger ravens he and Qlul communicated with back in school, or of Qlul himself. But he'd never let anyone know-- so i'd say this is a fifty-fifty :p
Ecirr is a sleepwalker. 0/10 He's not.
Ecirr set a public school on fire and got away with it. 0/10 Ecirr would not do something like that lol, none of them would. I'm not sure "public school" even exists in my world... but anywaaayyy, on to Eirairr!
Eirairr:
Eirairr does not know what sleep is. 10/10: This is absolutely hilarious. Eirairr has never slept before in his life. Eirairr is a full-blooded elf, and does not need to sleep. While i'm sure he knows what the concept of "sleep" is, he has never personally experienced it. With that logic, you could say he does not know sleep.
Eirairr is a cry baby. (I got the sleepwalker one again and i was like....i dont wanna do duplicates, that's boring. also he can't sleep, so no. although i can see him pretending to sleepwalk to be funny, definitely in his personality to do something like that.) 0/10: No, but Taka certainly cries a lot. Just like me.... that means i'm a crybaby D:
Eirairr is great with kids. 8/10: Honestly, if Eirairr maintained his calm personality for a extended period of time, I could see him being a great babysitter. He definitely has that childish energy. So maybe he'd destroy the house with the kid. But on the off hand he controls himself, then yeah, he'd be great for both the kid and the parent. But if he doesn't... well, let's say the parent won't be very happy when they get home and both of them are climbing all over the place.
Bonus: Villain Round!!! Vitsmunir!!!
Vitsmunir:
Vitsmunir likes to eat straight coffee beans. 7/10: maybe. I could see Vitsmunir being a dark chocolate, licorice, and black coffee sort of guy... if he let himself relax and wasn't on the verge of a psychotic, murderous-rage-filled mental breakdown + panic attack every second of his life.
Vitsmunir bullies kids on roblox. 10/10: I know I said I wouldn't do duplicates but this is very funny. Yes, yes, he would. He 100% would bully people and try and feel better about himself through this. And then he'd wonder why he doesn't have any friends. :(
Vitsmunir is a simp. 0/10: I kind of feel like if he were in our world, he'd be asexual/a-romantic. And probably in prison for murder.
Okay... that was a really long one, i'm tempted to just do two posts but eh, whatever, here's the second tag thingy (again, ty jev, im stealing ur formatting XD)
✨️OC Questionnaire Tag✨️
My questions:
So you're one of those people?
Is this really where you wanted to end up?
Why can't you just.. stop?
Your questions:
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
If you could change just one thing about your current life, what would it be?
What is your favorite thing in the whole world?
I'll be answering as Beriyl Edmund Ciphre von Aschwaz from Party of Three.
For the purposes of this one, Beriyl will be his early book self. Cocky, self-indulged, and worst of all, bri'ish.
Imagine him speaking as a posh British noble, with a hint of uh... flamboyance? He's a very dramatic person. Anyway, on with the questions...
1. So you're one of those people?
What the hells do you mean by that? One of those people? If you mean, beautiful, wonderful, and much better than you, then yes! I am Beriyl Edmund Ciphre von Aschwaz, after all! So glad you noticed. Of course I'm better than a worthless commoner like yourself! Hmph.
2. Is this really where you wanted to end up?
Wh- I must say, what is it with you and all these rude questions?! What does that even mean?! I- *he pauses* ... Crossing his arms, he peers outwardly at you. Are you speaking of Taka? No, I must say... I did not wish to end up stuck in a party with a commoner like him, nor a brute like Arthur. Gods, they're so unrefined. They're so imbecilic! Hmph... yes, that is quite the apt descriptor for them. Well, I suppose, put any of lowly birth next to one of such high status like myself and they'd appear a fool next to a saint, or some such... Saint Beriyl, I do like the ring of that! Are you-?! Why are you scoffing at me?! How dare you!! I am Beriyl Edmund Ciphre von Aschwaz, and I-
3. Why can't you just.. stop?
Stop, stop what?! This entire conversation has been one of the most unpleasant I've had since I met that damnable fool, Taka! Are you as stupid as he is, or are you just trying to get on my nerves?! Hah! If anything, you should stop! Stop breathing, that is! Yes, hmm! Stop breathing near me, commoner! I, Beriyl Edmund Ciphre von Aschwaz, refuse to breathe in your disgusting commoner air! Away, away from me! Thank you!
welp, there ya go jev. told you you'd piss off Beriyl with questions like that :sob: Hope you had fun reading all that :D I certainly had fun writing it. Feel free to tag me in more of your stuff, I love answering them. It's a lot of fun, and a nice writing exercise/warm up.
Have a good day everyone :)
(For those who enjoy reading the weekly posts, i will try and have the third... or was it the fourth, out soonish.... soonTM, okay? :p)
A Walk Through the Archives - Another Long RoAW Writing Post: No. 3
Hello everybody, welcome to our third weekly lore/exposition/whatever post.
In this post, we have a lot to talk about. But I believe the best place to start is where everything began-- ergo, the creation mythos.
This one has been cooking for quite a while!

All right... here we go.
In the beginning, there was nothing. Perhaps to say there was simply "nothing" is incorrect. Outside of known existence, of all reality, is a creature known as the Body of God.
The Body of God is a non-sapient, unconscious creature that simply exists. it is impossibly big, unfathomable to imagine. I tend to see it as a great white thing, with huge hulking limbs that floats in endless white space, far away from any mortal plane of existence and away from anything truly "existent" It simply is. It is not alive, nor is it dead. It does not experience reality, it simply is. It's hard to explain, but it doesn't really matter.
There are universes in each "part" of God. The Eyes of God, Head/Mind of God, Arms of God, Fingers of God, Legs of God, Feet of God, etc. The Body would be its "Midsection" if it had one, but you could also say "Body" meaning its entire being. It doesn't matter.
Now, inside this being, The Body of God, lies everything. Inside of it is infinite multiverses, universes, timelines parallel and those not. Infinite of everything. Every afterlife, every everything. Think of it as a bunch of squares lined up. Each "universe" is a block, and they can't really interact without intervention from the Gods within that "block." (it's how Lelnas was summoned, he was pulled from a parallel "block" to the one Tamalnh is in.) Basically, each "area" of God has tons, and tons, of these. Tamalnh is one such universe in its own "block".
Each world is similar-- you could think of it like how, in Shield Hero, the world L'arc came from is similar to the one Naofumi got isekai'd to, yet its fundamentally different, right? It's kinda like that, I guess.
Anyway, each "block" has Gods, and those Gods created the world within their respective block. The Gods do not know of the existence of the Body of God. "space" does not technically exist, space travel isn't really possible as there are no other planets. If a world ends, the Gods would recreate it. One shared rule is likely that Souls are sacred-- not to be destroyed. The one thing you cannot take away is ones right to experience life-- or the afterlife.
Speaking strictly to Tamalnh's universe now, in the beginning was nothing. Then, a crystal. From that crystal, was born Neutrality. From Neutrality, was born Law and Chaos. Presumably eons later, Neutrality's children waged war against eachother because they could not agree on how the world should be formed. Their battle created the oceans, the sky, the elemental planes, and many other things one would come to know as "Earth".
Eventually, there were enough Gods that they began to populate the earth. Thus, the races (and monsters) were born into existence.
Off the top of my head, these are the existing races:
Catfolk (miqo'te basically, best way i can explain it. They're anime catboys/catgirls)
Dogfolk, Wolffolk, Horsefolk, Birdfolk (aarakocra with the expressive faces of the Rito people from BoTW/ToTK, best way I can explain it) , and some other furry/scaly races like otters, snakes, lizardfolk, sharkfolk, etc (anthro furries basically)
Elves (Of the sea, being Sea Elves with gills like the Hoshigaki clan from Naruto basically. Of the forest, being Elves like Legolas from LoTR. Then Dark Elves, and finally, in the Gods very image, considered to be second to the Gods themselves, High Elves. Unlike the Gods, however, High Elves are not omnipotent.)
Fun fact; High Elves are mostly androgynous and able to have either sets of genitals, although I imagine they probably have neither as "default". They're very alien. I don't imagine they have sexual desires on the level most races do, but... some of them probably do, uh, do it. Which, yaknow, leads to more High Elves.
Humans
Orcs (think of them as vikings, basically. Orcs in Tamalnh are very viking-like)
Dwarves
Halffolk: Gnomes, Halflings, and Dwarves too
Half-races aside from gnomes and halflings come into being later down the line, when races begin to crossbreed. I.e, half-elves are human + elf. (got some fun lore about this regarding the Aschwaz lol)
Half-orcs do exist, but are likely incredibly rare as Oku (the land of Orcs) is in a really dangerous part of the world, where war is almost constant and the tribes of Orcs never really get along long enough to formulate any technology. At a certain point, they do have boats and use them to, well, raid and kill eachother, it's really just a land of warring factions. A valhalla for the living, i guess.

(ty kashimo)
tl;dr Orcs are trapped in Oku. There is a deadly sea-beast (a particularly vicious kraken) that stops people from entering or leaving that part of the world. I'm sure he's probably the inspiration for the "World Serpent" if the Orcs believe in something akin to norse mythology.
Demonfolk do exist, as the Hells technically do exist as a plane, despite Hell not really being a thing the Gods subject those who "sin" to. I think i've talked about the Gods idea of worthy punishments for criminals/very, very bad people in a prior post, so I won't do it again here.
Basically, Demonfolk can be seen in two "categories."
True Demonfolk: Succubi, Incubi, and regular old Demons.
Half-Demonfolk: The spawn of demons, devils, Succubi and Incubi. Basically, "Tieflings" is what DnD calls them, but because i'm scared of copyright, they really are just "Half-devils", or "cambions". They are discriminated against because people are afraid of them. Succubi (demonfolk who were cursed and thrown out of the Hells as punishment) are known to kill people trying to sate their curses, so people naturally fear them. Hamelan's government welcoming them and allowing them to run their businesses only works on two fronts;
The Hamelan Royal Family has a demonfolk fetish (and the demonfolk fucking hate it, but tolerate it because statistically Hamelan is the safest place for a Demonfolk of any kind to be)
as long as they don't kill people, they can do whatever they want (obviously, within the confines of the law itself)
Anyway, the first peoples were "created" as full adults. I imagine when they discovered sex, that they found new feelings- the feeling of being a parent. I've read that people when they have kids feel very strongly instinctively protective over them, i'm sure it's the same for the first peoples in Tamalnh.
Anyway, here's where the chronology gets hectic. There are many races at place in the first days, and humanity at large is given one prime directive, one clear defined purpose from the Gods. Build, survive, thrive. Do so, so that future generations can seek out their purpose, their destinies, and so the world will thrive into a beautiful place full of different cultures and yadayada.
For this time, the Gods walk amongst men. This time-period is where all our cool fables, mythos, and lore books in-universe come from.
Anyway, the first peoples do that stuff. A few generations later, think like, 500-1000 years, I think conflicts start to rise as people have their "necessities" decided. Not to say that conflict doesn't exist, as I'm sure certain places (Like Kaarda, due to it's harsh climate and inhospitable landscape, or Oku, due to the fact that nearly everyone there is obsessed with fighting/expanding their faction's territory) end up having small skirmishes here and there.
So, around that time- the 500-1000 year mark is when the Beastfolk-Kaardan war happens, simultaneously war amongst the elves breaks out. you could think of this as the "warring" period.
I won't go into extreme detail about these wars because it's not really necessary to, although I do have notes on them.
Tl;dr, the Beastfolk warred for territory and the war ended when 4 of the 8 (or however many, cant remember off the top of my head) racial factions were subjugated. The races that lost became slave races, and although some of them managed to escape to other places of the world (mostly Kommodia and what would become known as Katan as they were the closest) many of them remain enslaved. Basically, this war ended when most of the races had lost, therefore the continent became "majority-ruled" by a select few races who had "proven themselves" while the rest became, effectively, lower (waaaay lower, like treated like trash) class citizens.
Tl;dr for elvish war: To understand this, first understand that, for the most part, elves all existed in one place in the very beginning. Elves, High Elves, and Dark Elves existed all on this beautiful continent known as Sylvania, or Sylphlande. It is possible Sea Elves lived here too, originally known as Water Elves if they did.
Eventually however, differences in idealogy (elves wanted to explore, dark elves wanted power and more control, they felt distrusted, and the high elves wanted stability and peace-- for everyone to remain as they were forever. the elves were restless, and thus arguments brewed.)
Eventually, the Dark Elves moved into action, trying to overtake the High Elvish council by force, demanding a piece of their power so to speak. Perhaps enraged, the Gods came down to intervene and stop what was happening between their creations, but found their avatar destroyed by none other than a certain elf named Sargantas.
Sargantas, having grown bored with existence despite its beauty, having tired of the "inequality" apparent just amongst his own people, (likely being jealous of the power and respect the Gods afforded the High Elves in particular, and how they alone seemed in charge of making each and every decision regarding their lands) killed the avatar of the "progenitor god" so to speak, Neutrality. Now, know this. You can't kill a God, it is not possible. Yet you can kill their avatar. So, he kills Neutrality's avatar, takes her power, and uses it to link his soul permanently to this realm. This is but one "step" in his plan which he sort of grows as he goes along.
Basically, with this, the elves are thrown into chaos. Sargantas flees and narrowly avoids capture and a likely execution, and sets about with what i've taken to calling his "Thousand-Year-Plan".
In any case, this action more or less ends the "war" which was likely a collection of small battles mixed with ideological skirmishes. It ends when the High Elves, boiling over with rage, tear apart the very Earth, creating a terrible, seemingly endless pit-- with which they cast the Dark Elves inside, sending them to what is essentially the Underdark.
After that, the other Elves are exiled, and, creating elven tribes from their ideologies, set out to find a new home. Many make their homes in Kommodia's forests, and other places in the world-- wherever nature calls them.
Then, finally, the High Elves uproot a piece of Sylvania, leaving behind a fractured landmass below-- which becomes Lower Sylvania, as the pieces they take to the sky becomes High Sylvania. Embracing their role as silent, actionless watchers of the world, they hide themselves away and are never seen again. Many years later, explorers find the lower landmass completely barren, with no trace of anything ever having lived there. (as the other elvish subraces were likely banished permanently from the land itself)
Later on, a Fae curse befalls (well, they were tricked into the contract) several elvish tribes, giving birth to the "Pacted Elves", elves suffering from a curse of eternal devotion to a certain area of the world. These elves become like the high elves, immortal, un-ageing, but (unlike the High Elves on High Sylvania, who do not leave out of choice and spite) unable to leave lest they choose to break the contract and activate the dormant curse within their blood.
Around this time, as wars end and people start to branch out more, the world becomes more "lively" so to speak. During this time, Fae are quite active, and cause lots of trouble. Eventually (couple hundred years), they either stop bothering with the Mortal Realm, are explicitly told to stop by the Gods, or stop being able to interact with it as "tangibly" if that makes sense.
With the wars over, the Gods retreat and decide to no longer intervene, as them doing so allowed someone like Sargantas to gain power that he shouldn't have. They made a mistake, and instead of fixing it or growing, in typical God fashion, they choose to just... go away. Go away, and watch silently. Like a two year old. Some people end up believing that they entered the great white tree in the northern bit of the continent. This tree becomes known as the Godstree, and Hamelan is built around it.
Eventually, Sargantas is put an end to by the summoned hero, Lelnas, and yadayada...
Thanks to Lelnas, adventuring eventually becomes popular enough that more people are doing it (instead of it just being like 10% of people who were wandering around trying to find work and stuff like Lelnas did, or explorers tracking down a single target... like Lelnas was.)
Give it a few more long periods of time, Lelnas, Sargantas, and the wars fade into history, myth, and become fables. No one alive except for the High Elves remember a time when those people were alive....
and so slowly, we enter the modern day. An age of myth, legend, of adventure. The GOLDEN AGE OF ADVENTURING AND MERCHANTRY IS UPON US!

Pirates wage war against the Kommodian Navy on the high seas, while Navy-Pirates wage war against the... bad pirates! (fun fact: Beriyl's sister, Esmerelda, is a pirate for the Kommodian Navy)
Merchants turn fortune in their favor with the toss of a coin, and adventurers seek fame and fortune, friendship and treasure. It's dangerous work, but it's rewarding and truly... truly the freest one could be.
Thus, we meet Taka, Beriyl, and Arthur. And as such.. the story begins.
I don't think i missed anything! I hope i didn't. if something i said doesn't make sense, feel free to ask a question and i'll elaborate.
random:
There is a place known as the Hall of Mirrors, existing outside of all realities. This place holds links to every known reality in all of existence-- even other worlds outside the Body of God, every possible reality in any timeline can be "watched" from here. The Hall of Mirrors is an infinitely long square-corridor of mirrors. You can not enter other realities from these mirrors, trying would result in you being shunted back to your own, which would be quite painful. (think of it as taking Psychic and Force damage at the same time)

bear in mind that this is still being added to, theres a possibility i forgot to correct something so it wont match up with what's in the text, but it's a pretty good look at the world at large i believe. most of the sea names are likely placeholders fwiw
alrighty... that was a lot lol, took me a few hours to write (despite me having all this written down in my notes...)

dungeon meshi.... AH, dungeon meshi!
anywayyyyyy
Concluding this post, here's a poll. And a question. Well... a few.
Does anyone read these?
Does it matter?
Are these interesting?
until next time! ^.^
@thelaughingstag
random name origin fun time discussion:
Also pronunciations :D (I’ll edit this later and add those) (added as of 5:45 PM 6-12-24)
some new stuff added as of 6-26-24 cuz @jev-urisk tagged me :p
(my god, this post is such a poorly formatted mess. help me)
Taka (originally Aka, red, inspired by Karma Akabane)
edit 6/20/24: um wth was i talking about here? When I played Taka for the first time 5 years ago in my first dnd campaign ever (which was a very bad campaign btw, for reasons i might talk about in another note) I had "Aka" down for like 5 seconds (yes, it was based on Karma, tho) before i was like "if i add a T it sounds good" not knowing that Taka was an actual name. (or maybe subconsciously i did, but iirc it was just a "that sounds neat" decision that ended up being actually integral to him as a person, as all names should be :'D)
Pronounced: tah-kuh
low "a" like "aww"
so no, its not "TACKA" like some english speakers would probably mispronounce it. Tahkuh. Tawkuh. Taaaahhhhhkaaaaaaa
ok im sorry
idk, go watch a japanese person say "taka" thats how you say it, idk how to write pronounciations ok???
Fun fact: Taka is the Japanese word for Falcon/Hawk. Fits perfectly with his personality, his obsession with the sky, and his sheer wanderlust/desire to be “free”
Obligatory: no not Eren Jaeger “free”
Beriyl (Beryl)
pronounced: Barrel
He was my friends mage. He was very racist and a bastard person. (old, old beriyl). Beriyl and Arthur and Taka now are so very different from when I first learned about them, their original inceptions (being, well, dnd in a bad campaign) were just very different.
Ecirr (random dnd aarakocra name generator, I think I merged two names to get his full one, and changed the spelling a bit. Ecirr Roarark/Rorrark)
I played Ecirr when Qlul died in a campaign I played in like, 2020(?) I cant really remember when I added him and Qlul but they've been integral parts of my book for so long now I can't recall when I first started writing them in.
Qlul died fighting a nothic, and so I played Ecirr in an attempt to save him. I wanted to save Qlul because I felt bad for him, and my party members wanted to just leave his corpse to rot. I hated that, so I decided to play Ecirr, his childhood friend he'd been "roommates" with at the university. (I say roommates as a joke, they weren't, though they did attend a prestigious school together. The roommates joke is the "they were just roommates" gay sex joke. cuz they're dating)
Pronounced: e-sear (hard e, like eek)
Qlul Klilaark (same as Ecirr)
Pronounced: Qlol Klil ark
like, lull + q, qlull, so qlol?
"aark" is just "arc"
Klil, like "quill" with a k, and no u.
if you say it fast, kind of sounds like "qlul kalark" or "qlul klark" or "qlul quill-ark" idfk ok im bad with explaining these things
"qlul kluhark" i guess kinda another way to try and explain it XD
Ecirr was originally a DnD character who I liked alot and ended up putting into my book. He, like all of them-- both the members of Lucky Seven and Twin Feathers, have come really far.
Eirairr Eirainn
Pronounced: yer rair, yer rain
Same as Ecirr and Qlul.
I’d do my BBEGs but their names feel like spoilers to me despite them being the most interesting to me :c
(Ok fine, click if you don’t mind the villains names being revealed. One of them is probably obvious since he’s mentioned really early but the other two aren’t for a while)
Eirairr was a ranger I played in DnD. He, Qlul, and Ecirr's names were from random name generators. Specifically, the dnd random name generator. I mixed some of the names around to give it my own flair, changed a few letters, and bam.
Like Sargantas was the Sargatanas server in FFXIV, but I always misread it as Sargantas.
Pronounced: Sar-gawn-tiss
sar: like "sardines"
gawn - like gown but with an A, kind of like "dawn" with a G i guess
tiss - like "badum-tiss" for lack of a better example
Zersetsung is a German word for “power” (or was it “control”), and he’s a immortal vampire.
pronounced: (as far as i am aware...)
zur-zet-sung
with a "low" e,
uh..
ok, hold on.
Zur: like "Dur" but with a Z
Zet like "Jet" but with a Z
Sung - obvious, like how you say the word "sung" when talking about the past-tense of singing
Vitsmunir is Russian (I’m pretty sure) but I can’t remember for what
pronounced:
vits (veets)
mu (hard u, like the one at the end of the word "you")
near (like how nier is pronounced, or y'know... near from death note XD)
Fun fact: Sargantas’ soul is sheer black, Vitsmunir’s pure white, and Zersetsung golden!
context: claude.ai said this about my writing and it made me want to cry

i sent it like 5-6 excerpts from various parts of my book for context.
