What I think makes this even funnier is that the line Chuuya says in the sub is: "You were supposed to laugh!"

Which is hilarious because, he was. He was, in fact, supposed to laugh

while i 100% understand being sad we didn't get to see dazai laugh at chuuya during their reunion in the anime, i kinda like both versions of the scene tbh?

chuuya getting angry dazai didnt react is just as funny to me, and i love the implication that chuuya is like "if im going to do something this stupid, at least enjoy it or act like you enjoy it” i also like to think the reason dazai stayed quiet was because he was just in shock he actually did it .. like brother was Not about to release information that would cause the downfall of the mafia & that was keeping him alive just because chuuya wouldn't do a silly pose and voice. i swear i can see his stupid face (i mean this in the most affectionate way) he probably had in my head rn
