summary: it’s an excruciatingly rough forty-eight hours for indie and jj as baby maybank decides to make an unexpected entrance a little earlier than everybody had planned.

The last forty-eight hours had been nothing but a blur to Indie — obscured by the rippling pains of hours upon hours of unmedicated contractions. To her, it felt as though the last two days had disappeared in an instant; gone in a milli-second of time; fast-forwarded in the snap of her dainty fingers. It was almost as if the long, exhausting, pain-filled whir has translated to somewhat of an outer body experience and it was only now — as she peered downwards at their tiny, doe-eyed bundle of joy with the utmost adoration glazing over her tired eyes — that she felt reconnected. She felt present, both physically and spiritually, once more. Or, more likely, the intense adrenaline highs that had been systematically surging throughout her body had finally worn off, and the overwhelming fatigue had sent her barrelling back down to Earth.

It had all started in the very early hours of the 6th of April.

↠ steamboat springs: after coming into a large sum of money, two teens decide to blow their fortune on a once in a lifetime trip to the mountain winter resort of steamboat springs, colorado.

↠ the long & winding country roads: whilst on a spontaneous drive down the long and winding country roads of north carolina, jj maybank can’t seem to keep his hands off the little miss sat beside him in the passenger seat.
