At this point, if y'all can't say it without being anonymous, it just shows how cowardly you really are. If the authors decide to turn off 'anonymous', y'all asses would be mad as hell cause now you gotta say it to their faces.

Man, you people's are really pressed and threatened over Gwen being with "your man" huh? Its a little sad to watch, but funny

I get she’s a white woman so that’s sketch, but niggas abuse white women too. Abused women will sometimes do anything to keep their abuser, including chase them down. It’s a toxic relationship from both sides, yes, but y’all acting like that man is innocent and it’s honestly disheartening because I didn’t think you’d be one to have this sort of opinion.

Now in a few years when Meaghan comes forward talking bout his bullshit, don’t say nothing then.

I've been on several jurors as an adult, my step-sister is a lawyer, I've grown up with an abusive step-father (whose ass I beat when I was ten) and I've helped a few friends escape abusive households. I've been watching this case from Day 1. I'm very clear that Black men abuse women all the time. ALL men have the potential to be assholes behind the scenes in real life. The femicide rate is ridiculous, and trust, I rarely cape or coddle Black men. My opinion is based on looking at the evidence and applying it to what the NY law says. In my opinion he should've been not guilty on the first 3 charges. The 4th charge is sketchy because the NY law uses language that states pushing or shoving anyone away from you can be construed as harrassing someone (even if you are pushing them away to get away from harm yourself).

Lemme get even clearer with you.

I listened to the audio that was supposed to show him being abusive to Grace Jabarri. As a grown azz Black woman, all I heard was an upset partner telling his woman not to come home drunk and bring strangers back to their home and disturbing the peace there. He didn't yell, scream, curse her out, throw anything, or beat her up. He didn't use "I" language (which a controlling and self-centered person would use). He said us/we/our. He said they were working on a plan together and she was not playing her position as a supportive person who he also wants to support. Her crying sounded like she had never in her life been spoken to about her poor behavior. I know folks got their jokes off about the Michelle Obama/Coretta Scott King thing, but what I heard is that he admired the partnership those women had with their husbands and that's what he needed from her.

Clearly, they had a toxic relationship and both seem to be dealing with trauma (she's always drinking & popping pills to sleep...he's thinking about killing himself --because of work, life, who knows-- and not coming back home to her because the relationship is hurting him so much. Grown folks argue and fight and get feelings hurt. He hurt her feelings because he communicated effectively what he needed from the relationship...something we want all men to do. He said not to embarrass him out here with her behavior, esoecially in such a high profile and stressful job. My question would be, why is she secretly taping him when the gist of said audio proves nothing abusive? A Black man can't have standards, boundaries, and expectations in a partnership? He clearly states they were building together. He loved her and wanted better from her. That's a problem? Because I know if a woman said that to her partner, I would feel the exact same way. I've told ex boyfriends that, and I've been talked to by ex partners when they were upset. Sometimes I cried. Sometimes I said 'Yeah nigga, you right. Lemme get my shit together. I was trippin' my bad." If that was the only audio evidence of abuse, that does not justify him being guilty of anything.

Now for the text messages. The salacious handling of the redacted and out-of-context texts look awful on the surface. But, since I've been following this case closely (and again, I've had to look at stuff like this before on jury duty) I've had to look at the texts that mainstream media put out through that lens. Neither one of them specify what actually happened. There was no "Nigga you hit me upside my head and threw me down the stairs" form her, or "Baby I'm sorry I slapped the shit out of you and knocked you in the head". Yeah it's concerning to read him worried about her going to the hospital, however, we don't know why she wanted to go. Did she attack him again (like she did trying to snatch his phone--which she admitted to in court) and maybe hit her head on something because he pushed her away again and she stumbled? Did he throw something on the wall and it shattered and hit her by accident? (I'm not saying throwing things is a good look, but it's a better outlet than smacking someone). Again, we don't have the entire text thread, we have no context of what was happening, and she never said on the stand "He hit me then", and...according to the news, she testified that he had never struck her before in their relationship. So whatever happened that day in 2022 when she came home drunk with a stranger and he broke up with her and threw her stuff out, which happened over a 2 day period (hence why there was audio of him telling her about doing better for their partnership---that she scretly recorded), is there really proof beyond reasonable doubt that he hit her and that's why she wanted to go to a hospital? We don't know and speculating over evidence is a cause for reasonable doubt, or at the very least taking into consideration that we don't have the whole pictyre of that incident that has nothing to do with the case he is being tried for.

Let me give you an example of another case where text/audio have to be explicit.

Tory Lanez talking to Kelsey. I abhor that man but, if I were on the jury and they played the audio of him talking to Kelsey, I couldn't convict him of something that isn't said. Tory and Kelsy were talking about the night Megan got hurt and not one time (at least with the clips I heard, I could be missing full audio) did either of them say he shot Megan. They talked about that night being wild, crazy...yadda yadda. I love me some Meg, but as a jurists, that audio sounds like a bad hangover night and some friends argued over some shit and feelings were hurt and life sucks. Luckily, there was more concrete evidence that proved different.

Everyone is going to have a difference of opinion on this case. I am biased to a point because I hate to see another talented Black actor fumble. (We've lost to many these last few years for various reasons) Does this mean I don't support DV victims or cape for Black men no matter what? Chile, please. I'm the last person to do so. I just personally feel like it's scary to think a person can do everything in their power to leave a volitile situation, run blocks, stay at a hotel, find threats of suicide on their texts, call for help to break down a door, and then call 911 to seek assitance, and then have to go to trial on some misdeamonor charges that many legal experts find troubling anyway.

It was a trash relationship that ran its course. They both need therapy and healing, love and support from their respective family and friends.

One more thing. The last thing I'm going to do is trash Megan Good. I don't know their relationship. As for your snippy remark about not saying anything if Megan Good comes forward with something. I'm grown enough to change my mind with new information. I'm not the type to want an "I told you so." Clear-headed logical adults do that when new things are presented that prove otherwise. Megan has agency, and she's a mature woman who has seen a lot go down in the biz since she's a child. She'll be okay no matter what happens to their relationship in the future. Is it a PR stunt? I don't know, but it ain't my business.

There was too much reasonable doubt in this case and it is troubling to me and a lot of other people with male loved ones who could face this type of charge also trying to flee. They jury essentially split the baby, found him not guilty on the intent charges and blasted him on the lesser ones with the tricky harrassment language. Unfortunately, most people not watching the case closely will only see "He's guilty of Beating Her!" when the charges really say that he shouldn't have picked her up and put her back in the car. That's considered putting hands on her.

Just my two cents. (And don't get me started about there being not one Black man among the jurors. The prosecution struck all Black men from sitting on that case. No peers that looked like him.)

Peace be unto you this holiday season.
