in hindsight the thing that radicalized me to warframe was the 1-2 punch of getting to enjoy my horse guy fantasy in duviri and then experiencing...

the most profound horrible recognition i've ever felt in a video game? because of loid?

whispers in the wall made me feel the kind of things i usually only feel when i'm crying to the falsettos cast recording again. he's such an unmistakable character to me. he's a fucking mess. he's angry. he's broken. he feels weak. he feels stupid. he's incomplete. he sucks.

but none of this makes him unworthy of receiving love. none of this makes him incapable of providing love.

i can't really express how insane this image still makes me almost a year later.

i don't really care about depictions of gay men that aren't willing to make us vulnerable. most people find it too uncomfortable to stomach. people don't like watching us break down, scream, cry... and i understand why! we are still men, after all! we are still often really bad at expressing emotions in healthy ways!

so it's just still shocking to me that this meat robot video game was the most recent place i recognized that broken beautiful ugliness i see in the mirror daily.

and now i am going to cry to the falsettos cast recording again thinking about these strange old men and their hairless cat.

and their beautiful son, concrete.
