Journal Entry #80: Telling Cassandra The Truth
Journal Entry #80: Telling Cassandra the Truth
[🔮Occult Legacy Challenge - Generation 1 Diaries🔮]

Things had been strained between Cassandra and myself. Since Mortimer's passing, discovering Don's infidelity, and developing a crush on me I have been keeping my distance from her. I've been anxious and unable to be myself around her because I've been keeping a huge secret...

I've been investigating the missing case of Bella Goth...and I've discovered that she is alive. It was time to be truthful with Cassandra now that I had received the missing page from Nervous Subject.

I invited her to join me at the park. As we sat and watched the butterflies, I began to inform her about my investigation and how I had come to believe her mother was alive and being held captive by the Beakers. This news was overwhelming for her, but she understood my reasonings for keeping it from her. She hugged me and we became even closer - best friends!

If we were going to rescue Bella from the Beakers, we needed a plan. Cassandra said it was time to gather the ol' crew and meet up at the graveyard.

Journal Entry #79: Nervous Subject Produces Clue!
[🔮Occult Legacy Challenge - Generation 1 Diaries🔮]

I was shocked to see Nervous Subject as I pulled the trigger of my SimRay and blasted him. He was the adopted son of Loki and Circe Beaker, but what was he doing lurking around Slip 42? I warned him that he had just received a full blast of SLEEP rays and would be compelled to fall asleep any moment; if he had something to say...he'd better hurry.

Despite his evil parents, Nervous told me he was trying to be a hero. He pulled a crumpled piece of paper from his jacket and handed it to me. It was the missing page from Untold Mysteries of Strangerville!

As the brainwashing inspiration to sleep took over, Nervous Subject mumbled something about a bookcase and then passed out.

Journal Entry #85: A Lucky Abduction
[🔮Occult Legacy Challenge - Generation 1 Diaries🔮]

Almost instantly, as I returned home from work, I felt the familiar sensation of the dust around my feet swirling.

The beam from the spaceship was bright and blinding like always. I hoped the luck serum was doing its job and I was being taken to Nebulon's alien parent, Pollination Technician #3.

As the spaceship left the atmosphere, Nebulon asked the Future Cube if his father was going to be successful on this adventure.
"Not just yes, but YES!"

What on 🌎 happened to Bella Goth?

A few of the local townies gave directions to the home of Loki and Circe Beaker. They were a scientist and a psychologist who might be able to help.

Journal Entry #82: Making the Plan
[🔮Occult Legacy Challenge - Generation 1 Diaries🔮]

We began developing a plan. Mortimer brought up a good point - breaking into the Beaker's home alone would be unsafe. Nervous confirmed the home was heavily boobytrapped; the best way would be to be invited inside by Loki. Mortimer asked what Loki would want from me to get an invitation to his home lab?

I said I wasn't interested in using my son as bait. Mortimer nodded in agreement, he suggested that we approach it another way. We needed to get information that Dr. Beaker would want, and we knew he had been interested in me pursuing my Ufologist research.

I'd need to go to work and prove to Loki that I was becoming the Mad Scientist he wanted me to be. Tomorrow, I will try my best to win Loki over - convince him I have finally bent the knee.

Mortimer also suggested that I follow up on Ali Starr's contact in pollination and get the Intergalactic Record of Bella's abduction. This could be something of interest to Loki.

We had a plan! We spent the rest of the gathering getting to know our new member, Nervous. He seems to fit in nicely with Pascal and Cassandra seems to have developed a new crush.
