Abed Nadir Is The Very Most Perfect Character Ever Created. I Am So Extremely Serious When I Say His
abed nadir is the very most perfect character ever created. i am so extremely serious when i say his existence advanced my level of self-acceptance by so much. i mean, a canon autistic who has childish interests but is treated very much like an adult who is multifaceted, feels complicated emotions, and, despite struggling to express those in convenient social settings, is surrounded by people who care for him and put in effort to accommodate to him. he forms incredible meaningful relationships and shares his fears, dreams, goals with the group. his special interest is not ridiculed to a serious extent and is generally taken seriously despite him not being excellent or brilliant, and his qualities of rigidness and habit are not shown in a negative light, in fact they are often given a nuanced perspective by the show. his issues are treated as real and sometimes he experiences unreality and disillusionment which is discussed but never chastised. this is something i've literally never seen done before and i am so happy that he exists. i love him endlessly.

I love love love etymology because it's like every word has a back story intertwined with so many other words and through that you see ideas and culture and history and people and it's so beautiful okay I love word stories
Actors that leave shows early are so strong. I just couldn’t do it. My FOMO would simply kill me, I think. What if they have more fun behind the scenes once I’m gone? What if the writing gets better? What if the show starts winning AWARDS?

he’s so mean I love him
The fact that Ian’s dad does the same prayer hands to lip gesture as Ian makes me insane actually. Inheriting his name, inheriting his mannerisms, against his will. Probably inheriting his mothers bipolar. Naming his first game after himself and his mom. Taking his name, Ian, his fathers name, and changing it to make it his own. Taking his last name, his fathers last name, and putting it on every project he can as a monument to HIS OWN ego. Taking what is hereditary and making it only his. No wonder he’s full of himself. He has to be.
While double checking one of those quotes stumbled on an opinion piece that stated very confidently that Abed "rarely expresses any kind of emotion" and did we watch the same show did they watch it with some fucking inbuilt ableism filter or something I'm so tired
