The wedding. Nacho still couldn’t quite wrap his head around it. They were getting married. He was going to marry Lalo Salamanca. The thought set a little fire blazing low in his belly. It also made him extraordinarily anxious, a knot of nerves curling itself in his chest.

“Ignacio?”

“Yeah?” Nacho glanced up from the silk sample in his hands. It was smooth and cool, and it slipped against his skin like water. “Yeah, you can dress me up.”

“In a dress?” Lalo asked with a grin. “I bet white lace would look amazing on you.”

a bit late to the party but y'know how at weddings the families and friends tend to sit on one side of the aisle to support one of the spouses? We all know Lalo's side will be filled with every Salamanca on the face of the earth.

but who's on Nacho's side? When Nacho looks out into the crowd of what's supposed to be full of his loved ones, who does he see? Domingo? Mike? His father?

If he invited his father would he even come? His son is marrying into the cartel after all. And if he did come, would he do anything more than show up in his son's dressing room and give him an ultimatum? Him or Lalo. Or would he put everything aside and button up the last few buttons of Nacho's shirt for him (though Nacho left them unbuttoned on purpose, he didn't dare say so), clap him on the shoulder and just nod.

Or would he let his absence speak for him?

After the wedding, Nacho is a Salamanca, whether they like it or not, and family comes first. After the wedding, he would never worry about empty chairs again. But on what's supposed to be the happiest day of his life, who will offer a reassuring smile? Words of encouragement? Will the people he loves come out of the woodwork for him or will he have to get support from his mirror?
