It will be a normal reading not too short and not too long. If there would be anything that comes along as a message, it would be included too.

VIII. Strength

OBSERVATIONS

The young woman has tamed a lion using her gentle touch and softness. The lion’s mouth is slightly open as though from finishing a ferocious roar, yet the violent beast is still and tolerant under her hand. Compassion triumphing over hate is the message of Strength. The Strength this card speaks of is the strength it takes to master the self, and the inner strength of courage. The lemniscate above her head ties her to the first card of the Major Arcana, The Magician. While the Magician wields his power with a sternness to his countenance, the Lady of Strength turns hers into love with simply a touch. Her divinity lives within her, and so she doesn’t need a wand to act as a conductor. She is a message to us that the magic we seek is accomplished within ourselves and the work we do to face our shadows and find that precious inner light. Her power is in emotions and passivity, whereas the Magician uses his strengths in an active, materialistic manner.

She is the lamb that tamed the lion, and walked courageously beside him. The lion accomplishes his means through brute force and overpowering will. The lamb uses grace and empathy, emotions felt at a depth the lion could simply never understand. But she doesn’t despise the lion for his aggressiveness. She longs to show him that peace can coexist between such opposite energies. It takes bravery and, well, strength for the woman to even approach the beast, let alone try to pet him. And it takes restraint and pause for the lion to realize that the woman, the lamb, poses no threat after all.
