Me And My Take On Feminism

Before we really get into the topic, let's just make an effort to understand the actually meaning if the words:feminism and feminist

Feminism: "The advocacy of women's rights on the ground of equality of the sexes"

Feminist:" A feminist is someone who supports equal rights for women. The word "feminist" Comes from "feminism", which originally meant simply " Being feminine " Or "being a women ", but gained the meaning " Advocacy if women's rights " In the late 1800's"

Since man is a social animal, the more isolated he's kept the more insane he / she becomes. So, this human who is out in the society, is gathering with people, having fun but, has very little or no knowledge about actual meaning of many terms and phrases. 

So, for example... When we watch Indian TV shows ( not the daily soaps.. Hehe😬) you can see that whenever the female lead or any female in the show is fighting for herself, she will be labelled as a feminist or the will be a bunch of these good for nothing middle aged men and women who start calling her a feminist and ignore her troubles while these people are sitting and plotting plans to toil her life!! Since when did defending for oneself become feminism?!?! 

In another show,I was watching earlier,there's this girl who wants works in software company. She gets a big projects and she gets paired up with her best friend(fyi, he's a guy) and some random guy from the office .It so happens that , his guy becomes a bit too over friendly with her. This girl starts questioning a lot of things; she wonders if this  guy's personality is the reason he's acting like this or is she being sexually abused. After a few days she gathers up the courage to go up the guy and tell him that he's making her feel uncomfortable and what does this insensitive guy do?!?! He accuses her of creating an unnecessary scene in the workspace and shameless as they are; the co-workers start labeling her as a feminist and they ask him to ignore whatever she was saying,But guess what?! all this turned out to be a work of fiction created by her. Because of her imagined incident ,poor thing, she couldn't even gather up the courage to talk to the creep about it. She ended up blaming herself and her conscience about the mess that may or may not be caused

SO, you can see how difficult it is for anyone to survive in this planet when the people in this world have all free time to judge and critisize other people but have no time for a little introspection and self love.

There are so many such all over the planet . A guy gets called a feminist when he supports the important women in his life and stands up for them when they need it ; OH and  BY THE WAY , This  act of pure humane kindness is called CHIVALRY and it is not being BLOODY HEARTLESS MACH MAN .

A girl,on the other hand , gets called a feminist when she goes against all societal roles and rules that girls need to follow ; she will cut her hair short , wear whatever clothing she likes and is comfortable in, has fun,has a lot of guy friends etc.. But isn't this her just being herself and not caring a damn about other people opinion.

If you recall what "feminist" meant : "It is someone who supports women and their fight for equal rights" ; It doesn't describe about a human who is just kind to the other gender without being asked or someone who likes having fun!! SO, stop being a prejudiced inhumane creature and love and accept people as they are and most importantly think before using terms to describe or label people.

I can’t wait til we can dust off our highest hopes and relive these memories together. We’ll also be making a bunch of new ones too, since Red (Taylor’s Version) includes so many songs you haven’t heard yet. Til then, I’ll be counting down and picturing it all in my head.
