Is Tony's dad not a good dad? If that makes sense? And if so, elaborate as to how? If that isn't spoilery

This is kind of hard for me to answer. He’s kind of a crummy parent, but not a bad person in general. He had Tony when he was young (Like 17-18) and was kind of thrust into this parenting situation without being ready at all.  Oops

 I’m also still figuring out his character a bit. He’s kind of a sleazeball but he kind of tries. He could try harder but he is playing catch up emotionally. He is kind of oblivious to being there emotionally for Tony, and has residual bitterness about his own life. I dont know how to explain. He loves his kid but he needs to be better.
