If I had to nitpick at the theatre scene I just wish they had Ranpo lose his temper like in the novel. Part of what made that scene so impactful to me in the book was seeing Ranpo's pent up frustration come to a head and him just letting that shit out

are you telling me they didn't give us the-confused-and-angry-ranpo, shouting-in-the-middle-of-the-play-ranpo, causing-a-scene-in-the-theater-ranpo, just-a-little-boy-that-he-is-ranpo that we deserved???
