“I know we said we’d take a break from us, but I miss you. You and your love for cacti and weird bedtime stories.”
“Take your fucking late-night calls elsewhere! I’m trying to fucking sleep here!”
“You pretending that cushion is me?” “Maybe I did. But then I had to realize that it’s a better cuddler than you are.”
“Sorry. I had my phone on silent.”
“We saw each other earlier. Why didn’t you tell me then?”
Getting a call from a hospital/police station/etc. late at night.
“Then why do you keep picking up?”
“You still there?” “Mhhhmmmm.”
“Did you really think you could run away from me, [name]? No, I will find you everywhere.”
“Can you– Can you pick me up? Please?”
“Let me get this straight: You’re calling me at 3 am, disrupting my beauty sleep on a workday, to ask me out?
“Are you alone?”
“I know it’s stupid, but I needed to hear your voice.”
Threatening to hang up on the other every time they mention something specific.
“What are you wearing right now?”
“Ugh. I knew it was a mistake to give you my number.”
“Why are you whispering?”
“...The only reason why I did pick up was because it’s you.”
“Are you seriously suggesting there are benefits to not sleeping next to me?” “You always steal my covers! I almost had forgotten what it feels like to sleep through the night, all sound and warm.”
“Call me cheesy or a fool, but I needed to wish you sweet dreams.”

to you, it’s a shitty sentence. to some random bitch 500 miles away, it’s a fire line that’ll haunt them for the next 17 years.
you don’t know how impactful your writing is because it’s been in your brain for far too long now. you’ve stared at it for hours and repeated “this sucks” over and over again to the point that you killed your capacity to feel anything about your work.
but trust me, once you get your shit out there, someone’s gonna go over that paragraph you hate and go “jesus fucking christ” and put the book down to have an existential crisis.
JK Kink ABC – W(arum lieg ich alleine im Bett und muss auf dich warten)
Eine neue Challenge wurde aufgerufen von JK Kink ABC (hier zum tumblr Account) und war ich zuerst skeptisch ob ich überhaupt eine Idee habe … ging dann alles schneller als erwartet.
Ich bin gespannt was die anderen Teilnehmenden hochladen werden, in den nächsten Wochen 💛

nachvollziehen (v.) -- to understand, but less empathetic. i.e. i see the steps that brought you to that conclusion, but i don't understand you.
doch (interj.) -- you're wrong and really it's the opposite of what you said. often said with a healthy dose of sass. i.e. "this isn't a good movie." "doch. (it is)"
frech (adj.) -- somewhere between naughty and sassy and silly. when you're being a bit of a brat, you're being frech.
dreist (adj.) -- audacious, but far more colloquial. when you have the goddamn audacity, you are dreist. i.e. to park that far over the line is dreist as hell
heimat (n.) -- home, but stronger. a home is wherever you have built a life, but heimat is where your roots are. heimat is where you feel pangs of nostalgia when you go to visit your family for christmas and see the shop at the corner.
weltschmerz (n.) -- literally 'world-pain'. the world sucks and sometimes you just sit and feel the pain of it all. that's weltschmerz.

„Back to Basic“
Was soll ich sagen - es ist vorbei. Joko und Klaas haben die Hütte verlassen und lassen uns alleine.
Mir bleibt „Danke“ zu sagen - erst an die zwei Dullies, die mich erst über Jahre allein gelassen haben mit dem Bild, nur, um mir innerhalb von vier Wochen die komplette Story zu diktieren. Danke auch an die vielen lieben Worte über alle Plattformen hinweg, das miträtseln und mitfiebern 💛
Dass nun das letzte Kapitel ausgerechnet am Jahrestag (15 Jahre JK) kam, war so nicht geplant 😅
ACHTUNG
Wer das Kapitel noch nicht gelesen hat und sich ein kleines bisschen Spannung aufbewahren will, sollte das erst NACH dem Kapitel ansehen:
Gut dass ich alles komplett durchgeschrieben habe, denn Jokos Armband habe ich erst am letzten Tag als Idee gefunden und musste das dann rückwärts einplanen: das Abstreifen als er Klaas verlassen hat und im Telefongespräch mit Schmitti.
Klaas‘ Armband ist natürlich leider total fiktiv, doch ich wollte dass er etwas bleibendes von diesen zwei Wochen hat - außer Joko himself natürlich 💛
i don't get the sentiment that writing isn't fun. writing is so much fun! it's so rewarding! yeah it's hard sometimes but that doesn't mean it isn't fun. I love untangling the mess of plot threads in my head to figure out what should go where or why a certain section or sentence isn't working. it's like solving a puzzle. and my little guys are there! and i get to make them kiss or put one of them in a blender! so much fun!
