(I couldn't get this scenario out of my mind so I had to write about it ><

It's @ada-melodies fault, who made an amazing fanart of Zevlor sleeping which is stuck on my mind now q.q)

When you came back to your room at the Elfsong tavern, it was already past midnight. Your quest took up most of the day and half of the night as well but you came back without major injuries, which was already a success.

The others who didn't join on your quest were already sleeping and you smiled at how quiet it was in the room. It's a rare situation that no one is arguing and you enjoyed how calm it made you feel.

Astarion, Gale and Shadowheart, who had joined you for the quest were also quiet, which is especially rare as Astarion barely keeps his mouth shut, but it seems all of them were just too exhausted. They whispered a Goodnight to each other as they didn't want to wake up the others sleeping. You whispered a Goodnight back to them and watched as they walked over to their beds.

As glad as you were for the day finally being over, you still had a lot to prepare for the upcoming fight against the Absolute and you usually felt like time was not on your side.

But right now, you didn't feel stressed for once.

You walked over to your bed, passing by a few others of your companions sleeping as your sight fell on Zevlor.

Still in disbelieve you were able to save him, you stood there staring for a moment.

He obviously didn't plan on sleeping already as his book was still open but laying on his chest. One of his hands was resting on the book, the other one resting under the pillow behind his head. His hair was undone and looked messier than you ever saw it, but honestly you had never seen him without his typical hairstyle, that had half of his hair tied back.

His face had never looked so relaxed as it usually carried a sad and worried expression.

You stood there for a few moments just staring at him. Even though you are aware that he didn't plan on falling asleep, it made you happy to see him so peaceful for once.

You took a few steps closer to him, carefully taking the book from underneath his hand so that it wouldn't fall and startle him in his sleep. Quietly putting it down besides him and cautiously moving his hair out of his face.

The calm feeling you got made you feel braver than usual as you placed a kiss on his forhead, quickly moving away not to disturb his sleep.

You moved over to your own bed and felt a sigh escape you.

If only every night would be so peaceful with all the different people who joined your camp.

What you weren't aware of was the fact that Zevlor did wake up when he felt your lips on his forhead but he was still to sleepy to process it.

He kept his eyes closed until he heard your footsteps leaving his side. Honestly he thought he was still dreaming but he wasn't going to question it, just taking in the warmth in his heart he was feeling in this moment when drifting back to sleep.

Honestly, so grateful for the content creators and content ENJOYERS of the more niche characters. Like Orin, Gortash, Raphael, Zevlor, Rolan, Withers Mizora, even Minthara honestly.

Like, it's nice to get thousands of notes on a piece of fanart or a fanfic but having a small community where we all know each other and have such a fun time is something really special.

Teasing game (Zevlor x Tav)

The game you were playing started a few weeks ago. The fighting was over and your friends and you met regularly for drinks or catching up on life, your life finally felt normal again.

Shadowheart and Halsin were the first to notice you being hopelessly in love with Zevlor.

One night when you were drinking with your friends Shadowheart was trying to push you to confess. You told her how unsure you were to do so as you thought you were already pretty obvious with your feelings towards him, so that to you it just seemed like he was uninterested in you. He would've noticed, right?

Soon enough Astarion noticed about your feelings too and came up with an idea that you knew wasn't a good one, but you couldn't say you didn't like it.

He suggested you teased him until he finally snaps. Of course you didn't want to play with him, but it wasn't like you didn't like him.. so was it really playing with him or just testing his patience? You agreed and the teasing game started.

At first you were really shy about it. You tried to be in his company more often, joining him when he went to buy something or just left from meeting your friends at the same time as him so you could walk with him.

But you noticed it didn't change anything, he was polite and slightly distanced as usual.

Seems like you had to get a little more brave.

You were at the Elfsong tavern with your friends as you did at least once a week. Most of them were aware of the game you planned, so they left the spot next to you empty so Zevlor had no choice but to sit there.

You waited a little before starting your teasing as you were still trying to be subtle about it, but a drink or two made you slightly more bold.

Halsin and you were in a conversation catching up about Thaniel and the former shadow cursed lands.

You moved your leg so it was touching Zevlors leg next to you. He was sitting between Halsin and you so you had an excuse to lean closer to him.

When you notices his gaze on you, you turned to look up at him only to find him looking away quickly.

When Halsin got into conversation with someone else you turned to Zevlor. He noticed you staring at him and looked at you.

"May I ask you something?", you said.

"Of course, anything."

You were leaned forward and you did choose a more revealing outfit as usual with your shirt hanging lower, showing off some of your skin below your collarbones.

"How does it feel like having horns? It's probably a weird question.. but do you still feel the weight of them? Is there any feel to them or is it kind of numb like fingernails are?"

You were seriously curious, but it's not like you could've just asked Karlach.

"Oh.", he was obviously not expecting that kind of question. "I don't feel the weight of them anymore, I think I am just too used to it? And they are rather numb but not completely.. How do I describe it?", he was thinking about it for a few seconds while you reached up and touched his horns.

His eyes went wide and you pulled back your hand.

"Sorry, I didn't want to overstep-", you said quickly.

"No, it's fine. It's not uncomfortable, just.. I'm not used to anyone willingly touching my horns." He was looking anywhere but at you, was he flustered?

"You can't tell me no one has been curious about them before."

"That's not it, but tieflings aren't really welcome anywhere and as curious people may be, they are just as scared."

"So you don't mind me touching them?"

He chuckled.

"I don't mind."

You instantly reached up to his horns again and touched them gently. Fingers slowly caressing the rough texture of them.

His gaze was on you the whole time. He looked at you, how you stared at his horns, watching your curious expression and taking in every detail of your face. It wasn't just the wine's fault how warm he felt and he was painfully aware of it. He noticed how your knee still touched his leg and how close you were to him and honestly, he liked it.

His eyes wandered to your lips, your neck, he noticed how you had dressed differently today.

When your hand pulled back he looked back to you, locking eyes with you. Of course you would notice him staring. He blamed himself for letting his eyes wander on your body thinking you wouldn't notice when he would let his self control slip for a moment.

He won't let that happen again.

How you know he love you, before you date edition

Look, we all know Dammon doesn't know how to flirt. Pretty boy has spent all his time focusing on his smithing and trying to stay alive, it doesn't leave much time for romance.

But, when he meets you, again and again, as the tieflings journey to Baldurs Gate he lets himself just consider it for a moment. I can see him only coming to the realisation randomly when he's at his forge and he just pauses and needs to set his things down for a moment.

So, how does he show that he loves you? At least, at first?

Gifts, lots of gifts, so many gifts. This man is a menace. You might not even realise it at first, honestly. Him waiving the fee on comissions for you, or handing you something small he smithed and shrugging it off as not that big a deal. Nevermind how his heart is pounding.

I can see him gifting flowers sometimes too, little bunches of yellow and white ones clutched in his fist. Dammon can't really get the words out well so he stumbles over them before passing the flowers over and giving a little self satisfied nod, trying to distract you with other conversation.

Has anyone else seen his line with Karlach where he calls her 'touchable'? Man doesn't know what to say, but he tries anyway. Dammon is always trying to compliment you, most of the time the compliments land while also being adorably entertaining.

In the same scene he gives her hand that little squeeze and that's all the proof I need to tell Dammon's into physical touch. The way he'd clasp your hand when passing you something important, or casually grip your shoulder as he leans in and jokes quietly about the Absolutes army breaking down the city gates.

Gods forbid you hurt yourself near Dammon. The way he'd sit you down and pace around his home grabbing a wet cloth and some spare bandages to clean and dress your injury. The way he'd touch you so softly, fingers ghosting over your skin with a gentleness you didn't realise he possessed. If you really want to see Dammon blush and stumble over his words just ask him to kiss it better, you can almost see the way his brain shuts down as he thinks about doing it.

All in all, this man is husband material even if he doesn't realise it.

"Gods damn it all. I can do nothing right - not a damn thing."

How you know he loves you before you date, with Zevlor

To start with, Zevlor is definitely the type of man to think he's too old to find a partner or have romance in his life. Prove this man wrong.

As soon as he sees you, he just knows he won't be able to get you out of his head. Doesn't matter what he has to attend to, Zevlor accidentally finds himself looking over at you every time you look away. If you happen to catch him then you'll see a very flustered tiefling desperately try to look like he's busy doing anything else.

Zevlor is the type of guy I see as an acts of service and quality time appreciator.

He's always around to help you with things, Zevlor is already helping all the tiefling refugees but something about helping you sets off butterflies in his chest. Considering how tall he is, Zevlor would totally reach up over you to pull something from a shelf if it's too high for you. The flustered little smile he gives when he passes the item over really should give away his feelings.

For quality time, literally spend any time with him and he'll melt. Join him in his little makeshift office as he pours over maps, even if you're just in there to raid his books he'll still enjoy your presence. Try and pull Zevlor away to have a little picnic with you, you're the only one he'd say yes to. He deserves a treat and the way he finally relaxes is the greatest sight in faerun.

He'd be a bit protective too, not possessive but he desperately wants to make sure you're staying safe. Zevlor is first in line to bandage any injuries, with a mild scolding about how his heart can't take the worry. You can tell he always has an eye out too when he makes sure Rolan isn't too snappy with you and the druids aren't giving you any grief.

Overall, you make him feel young again. He can't quite believe you'd go for someone his age, but it's because he doesn't realise what a catch he is. Luckily for Zevlor we all already know :)

I wasn't going to write tonight, but after the encouragement I got to write for Zevlor I couldn't help myself. Might do a 'how you know he loves you while dating' for Dammon as a second part to his headcanons, let me know what you guys think!
