It’s okay to be sad, lonely and crave interaction. While it’s good to have things we enjoy on our own, we are a social species and it’s normal that we want to be social!

I find it so invalidating when people talk about how lonely they are only to be met with responses about how they should “enjoy their own company”.

It isn’t some moral failing to feel lonely and want support or interaction from others. It’s normal. And it’s okay to want those things.
