Chapter Forty-One The Trap (Previous Chapter)

All through the morning, (Y/N) kept herself busy by helping the Mandalorian mercenaries tune the engines of their starfighters and load supplies onto the light cruiser, and although they were grueling tasks for a sleep-deprived woman to complete, they worked to distract her from the feeling of foreboding that stubbornly persisted from the night before. The moment that she boarded the Gauntlet alongside Din and Grogu, however, there was nothing to divert her attention away from the inexplicable anxiety weighing on her mind; she didn’t have the N-1 to pilot or even her sewing supplies to keep herself busy, and there were only so many times that she could disassemble and clean her already spotless blaster. You’re just thinking about all the bad experiences we went through the last time we were on Mandalore, she reminded herself as the heel of her boot continued to tap against the floor and her fingers fiddled with a loose thread dangling off the hem of her coat’s sleeve, wishing that she could give in and forget about the ominous sensation filling the pit of her stomach.

“No.”

(Y/N) shook herself out of her reverie and a smile played on her lips when she saw IG-12 standing in front of her seat. “Hey, little guy. Whatcha mean, ‘No?’” Grogu cooed and operated the droid’s hand to take hold of hers and gently guide it away from the loose thread, making (Y/N) chuckle and look back up at the child with pride. “That’s right: pulling the thread will only cause more damage to the garment’s stitching. You’d make quite the seamstress’ apprentice, Grogu.”

He giggled when she tickled the patch of skin beneath his chin and pressed a clawed hand against one of the console’s button. “Yes.”

You had been on a hunt with the Winchesters , tracking down a couple of shapeshifters to an abandoned building, when you had split from the brothers , right in the middle of a show-down, to chase one of the slimy buggers ,that had bolted at the sight of Sam and Dean.

"Oi , Y/N get your ass back here!"Dean gruffly said as he fought of one of the three monsters,Sam grunting as he fought of the second.

"I'll be back in a sec' ,pretty boy ,don't wait up"you shouted back, chasing after the one that had gotten away

Now ,you were semi- new in the world of hunting the things that went bump in the night , but you did have at least enough knowledge and training (courtesy of both brothers themselves) to know how to kill them. So when your escapee had jumped out at you from behind a corner, you hadn't imagined too see yourself staring right back , the creepy image shaking you to the core as it raised it's arms above it's head and slammed down, lodging something sharp right into your chest as you gasped.

Looking up , you locked your eyes onto your clone as you slowly pulled the foreign object from within the small cavity it had made in your skin ,blinking up at the creature slyly,  you let your eyes flicker shut before opening them again,black inky irises stared at the shape-shifting creature as it's face , no, your face morphed into one of panic and confusion.

Smirking,  your eyes glazed over before you whispered..

"Now, now, I know you damn freaks want a piece of the Winchesters, but darling , you can't touch what's not yours".

it is absolutely fine to be disappointed by his absence at cannes. i am too. but he does not have to be there.

for whatever reason he’s pulling away from the attention. the esquire article talked about how guarded he is and his socials have really slowed down. maybe he’s unprepared or overwhelmed by all the tlou hype. i mean his follower count went up by the tens of thousands the day after the premiere. that’s insane.

but some of you have lost the plot. the ones wearing d*ddy’s little girl shirts in fucking public and yelling d*ddy at him at events and trying to convince everyone whether he’s queer or not and complaining there isn’t an explicit scene of him fucking in the strange way of life. it’s not a gay porn made for your fetish. ‘oh but narcos!!’ that’s called characterization. read literally any article from almodovar and understand why sex isn’t the point.

interacting with paparazzi content and making cute little edits - jfc. that’s creating demand and supply and paparazzi know no fucking boundaries. man’s got anxiety and no doubt the paps and fans watching his every move are probably making that worse.

let him make movies and rotate through his four shirts in peace. pedro pascal doesn’t owe anyone shit.
