Regarding that last reblog:
If you're in the US PLEASE call your state reps and tell them to vote no on the RESTRICT act (look up your senator here, and your house representatives here). It's a blatant act of censorship that WILL affect the entirety of the internet (you think anti-net neutrality movements are bad? This is worse). Your call doesn't have to be long, but it is key that your reps know you will fight for their losses in the next primary if they vote in favor of this bill. Reasoning with their "human sensibilities" doesn't work with people in that position, you must threaten their power. It would help if you could convince your family members to do the same (if they are a conservative/republican just ask them if they're okay with "a socialist like Biden being able to censor your Internet." It worked on my uncle and he is very conservative).

i'm as tired of finding out crazy information from my distraction outlets as the next person, but this is important.
if you are in the us, please call your representative and tell them you oppose bill s686, the RESTRICT act (linked).
they introduced it and are trying to get it going without public knowledge. it completely infringes on our first amendment rights and goes hand and hand with what happened to net neutrality not long ago. i would recommend taking the time to read it as i have a hard time explaining things, but it basically throws our internet privacy further out the door and puts the government's hands directly into our internet pies. if they don't like something, sucks for us.
the ongoing attempt to ban tiktok probably started this, and if anyone can add a better explanation, please do.
Well soRRRRRyyyy for explaining how Meta is the driving force behind the RESTRICT Act and it's all a ploy to crush competition for US tech monopolies while manufacturing consent with fundamentally baseless 'national security concerns' when you asked me how my day was. Now do you want to hear about why US antitrust laws can't successfully break modern tech monopolies
I would like to thank the Percy Jackson fandom for the reason that neurodivergent people are infantilized on a daily basis as well as R*ck R*ordans shitty rewrite on ADHD and Dyslexia and making it like superpowers not actual disorders people suffer from on a daily basis while most of the characters act like neurotypicals.
Dear Senator __,
I am a United States citizen [if you are a constituent of their district, say that instead] writing to vehemently oppose your current initiative to censor more than 150 million Americans by banning our personal use of TikTok. Your decision to co-sponsor the RESTRICT Act will go down as the single biggest mistake of your entire failed political career. With this choice, you will send many of us over the edge. Your choice to co-sign a fascistic move to censor free speech and assembly—our Constitutionally-enshrined First Amendment rights—will cost you millions of votes from betrayed Americans of every age group. We are Americans with small businesses and side hustles on this app, which many of us operate despite already being employed. We do this because inflation rates are at an all-time high, and eggs cost nearly a dollar-a-piece, and you all are saying “let them eat cake” while you’re blind to the mobs growing restless in the streets. You are stripping away our communities and our voices and making a mockery out of the process of civic engagement. We know you don’t care about listening to us, so we’re speaking the only language you can understand. Continue to support this outrageous legislation, and we will. vote. you. out. This choice can only end badly for you, and it will backfire. So look outside at the dirty, angry, writhing mob in the street and WAKE THE FUCK UP.
Kind Regards,
Why does every slasher fanart always have the slashers as “buddies” like no Michael and Jason are married and Billy is their adopted son they found on the side of a dumpster with his two weird uncles
