Heya, I'm Peridots (any pronouns, they/it works fine)! Your average digital artist/entomology enthusiast! This is partly an art blog, but be prepared for occasional Bug Facts and other such randomness. Spam likes and all other positive interactions are appreciated here! Terfs, zionists and the like aren't allowed within about a hundred feet of my blog, however! My #1 post of 2022

A moderately stylized drawing of Leif from Bug Fables. He is standing facing the right side of the screen near the camera. His full body is visible, and he's drawn in a way that makes him more spiked and insect-like. His right arm is pointing diagonally down and to the right, and his left arm is making a "v"-shape as if he's holding something close to his head to inspect, but his fingers are mostly splayed out. Leif's right wings are parallel to the arm on that side, and his left wings are not raised at all. His antennae are held straight up and his stance is somewhat wide, like he's preparing to fight. His proportions are close to a human's, his thorax and head combined are as tall as his legs. A giant ice block that is also as tall as his head and thorax combined is hovering above his left hand, and there are smaller pieces of ice spread out in an arc next to it. The background is dark, and while it's mostly blank and abstract, there's a section on the lower half of the screen that's even darker, with a lined border, implying a floor.

Leif should get to be bright and spiky sometimes. as a treat

year in review oh... the most reblog'd are my friends... and stagbells lol the 1% of tagless posts is a reblog from content-free btw. i am methodical in categorizing everything properly! my theory of ''content matters less than reach'' seems to hold true with my all-time top post on tumblr being something i made in a couple hours but Pain and Suffering i will allow myself to enjoy the attention regardless don't know how i got a tag to 140? i always have to cut them short because finishing with enter always results in them being exactly One Character Too Long surprised to see a tag I don't use anymore (humans) on the list anyway. a kind literally-EXACTLY-24-hours-too-late new years to you tag-wanderer <3 peridots-nonsense AUGH HOLD ON DID IT TAG THE PEOPLE IN THE BOTS POST SORRY also (>) counts i guess peridots-art

I was listening to Miracle Musical again, and remembered I did an animatic for The Mind Electric. It’s quite old (a year or 2?) and upon looking over it and revising it, there are some continuity mistakes. BUT! I more or less finished it a bit ago and am still quite proud of it and wanted to to post it. So here it is!

peridots-reblogs hollow hk pale king hk radiance hk hollow knight 15 notes is a crime to be perfectly honest idk how to describe this but like. you utilized the non-lyrical parts so wonderfully? like using the reverbs for flashbacks and stuff? everything looks exactly the way it sounds?? i love 2/5 through with WL where the gentle music cuts in for a moment and it's almost a good memory but Wrong all of that. it helps portray the feel of the animatic very well! hope it makes sense also just enjoy the way you draw hollow :] going to continue based on your reblog from yesterday (still had this saved as a draft before that though hehe). i am still so very flattered! that you're continually so kind to me! your comments still mean a lot to me and waow siblings. i always thought eggo was fairly cool so as i've said (and you? may have seen??) it was nice to draw for her! anyway i will cease the rambling but your animation is fancy! doodle-birdo < feb 28. you gave me a tag so now you get one!! which will probably include all the posts you've left nice comments on actually
