ok so biology. this taxon of dragons is generally bat-sized so they are still Tiny >:D moths and beetles are more closely related to each other than bees so that's reflected with leif and kabbu's anatomical similarities lepidopteran dragons have finely scaled wings which allows them the Forbidden Colors (blue) that can't be achieved through pigment alone beetles have scales on their limbs despite their size they still get big patagiums because I said so i kind of like the idea that dragon!leif kept growing in snakemouth den darkstalker-style even if it makes no sense bug fables leif bug fables vi bug fables kabbu bug fables peridots-art dragons

Though it’s been a year since I was active in that fandom I do have the urge to draw WoF stuff, I just don’t know how to cater to my newly found “everything has to be anatomically accurate” side without thoroughly disregarding canon

Crassie was originally a D&D character from around seven months ago who was significantly based off of Hollow Knight (specifically the Hunter), and used to exist in this strange AU I'd made where most creatures were bugs but humans also were a thing, before I decided to make her an actual world. I have an old sketchpage of her not shown here

that week is the amount of time it took me to draw this I was going to draw something for Kabbu cause. y'know. feb 14 but I got frustrated with it halfway through and scrapped it :/ elves and dwarves used to be different species but then they merged. dwarves were the short ones with horns and elves were thin and fluffy they almost separated again after fighting about the name crassie chtn heathrow chtn peridots-art wow almost 200 hours on this huh humans peridots-ocs chtn

A drawing of the protagonist of Hollow Knight. The entire front of their body is visible, and their head is turned to the right, so that they're looking to the left side of the screen. Their right arm is raised so that their hand is at the same height as the base of their eyes. The inside of their cloak is painted with the colors of the nonbinary flag, and the right side of it, visible on the left side of the screen, is flung upwards to meet their arm. A few hearts and sparkles appear to the left of their head, implying they're excited. The background is made up of stripes running parallel to their extended arm. The lower half is purple and upper half yellow, and a yellow stripe runs through the top of the much wider purple stripe. The small heads of the Hollow Knight, Hornet, and the protagonist are drawn over the yellow stripe, in a repeating pattern so that several drawings of each character are visible in the background.
