I would tell the plot when I done with some other sketches for story context
But in for context of the drawing, the boys are trap in a maze with wicked power and evil spirit to take their life essences.
In short, they will be goners if they don't get out soon

FUCK DISCOVERY HERE'S THE 4 SEASONS OF INFINITY TRAIN
If Batman and Spider-Man switched rogues galleries none of their villains would last more than ten minutes against the new enemy
How do u think Bert would react finding out Akis Mega Man? Do u think he'd be upset with his best friend keeping that from him?
I think Bert would be thrilled instead of being mad cause not only his best friend is a superhero, his very close to the super robot and would understand why he have to hide his identity. I mean kid saw what a robot master can do and literally a war almost broke out in the comics.
The cliché hero identity can be a redundant and boring if the identity doesn't do anything to the conflict.
Like if the conflict of, I can't tell my secret identity because my enemy will hunt me down if they know. But if the enemy isn't an actual evil villain with the capacity to massacre people like the Joker then what's the point of keeping it if the enemy won't be a threat that can harm people.
Example, wordgirl is a show about a girl who's actually an alien from lexicon and fight crime for justice because the justice system of the city is horrendous, so this 10-12 year old have to do it in secret as wordgirl while have a normal live under the name Becky Botsford. It have a legit reason why Becky can't tell people about her hero identity cause then the villains (even if they're some goofball with extreme powers) will and might bother her to take down their crime and news media and other inconsiderate people will tell her to help them as Becky.
To me the show conflict of secret identity is stupid because not only the villains can be negotiate and get along with wordgirl and won't attack if she is being Becky Botsford (my headcanon and semi-canon to the show). 50% of the show conflict would be solve if Becky just told her family that she need to go off fight crime for the city. But I can see why she just can't tell them, either her mentor just tell she needs to or she know that people won't leave her alone and will bother her with the smallest problems.
Danny phantom is also a good example why he need secret identity, if just casual about being half-ghost, his parents might autopsy him and be dead for real.
So if Aki just tell his dad and being public about his identity, not only evil RMs will attack him as Aki Light, many other enemies will attack his family too, even his dog.
My point is,
Bert Willy would understand why Aki hide his hero identity and would be so happy that his best friend is a great superhero
Do u think part of the reason Guts eats so much could be a way of eating his feelings, not have to think about stuff?
That's probably the answer why.
It's an unhealthy coping mechanism that make sense in term of canon
