I wish they explored Chrom’s father + Chrom’s feelings towards his father more in Awakening. I think it would have been so interesting to show how at the root, they’re extremely similar (both hot-headed/emotionally driven/protective of the people they love/etc.) They could have showed us that Chrom’s father started the war against Plegia due to these character flaws, maybe while also being manipulated by people who wanted war with Plegia. From here, they could have explored Chrom’s character flaws more, and have becoming just like his father one of his greatest fears. It would parallel really well with Robin’s own story of defying fate, especially with the line Chrom says about Robin not being his father. Robin’s doubt of himself could be a point where Chrom realises that blood doesn’t destin him to make the mistakes that his father made, while also highlighting how the bonds he’s formed would save him from ever reaching that point. They could have really played this up when he realised Lucina was his daughter. When he says he wish he’d left her more than a sword and a world full of troubles, he thinks that he failed as a parent, because that’s what his father left him, Lissa and Emmeryn. However, it would add so much more depth to Chrom’s character to see how he overcomes these thoughts, and strives to be the leader that his father never was.

Hopes for Three Houses/Next FE

I was realllyyyyyy hoping that the last Nintendo direct would contain news about another Three Houses DLC or a new Fire Emblem game. FOr the next Direct, here are my hopes of what to see.

1. An Ashen Wolves Full story. I’m worried that with the Ashen Wolves DLC is all we’re going to see from Yuri, Hapi, Balthus and Constance. They are great characters, and I would love to see them interact with the post-war story more, and show some commoner’s side of things. I also just think their characters are great, and it would be such a waste to not give them much more of a role in the story/more supports.

2. More 3H supports. There are some characters that lack supports that I would love to see them implement. My biggest hope would be for a Edelgard/Sylvain and Claude/Sylvain support. There’s so much more that can be explored with these characters, that they may have not had enough time to implement with the initial release. EIther this, or another FE Warriors with Three Houses characters, but I have a feeling people would hate this. 

3. PLEASE REMAKE JUDGRAL. I am dying to play the Judgral series, but I’m holding out hope that it will be remade Shadows of Valentia style. Just imagine the Arvis BBQ scene with the new cutscenes style/voice acting and just UGH. PLEASE. I’m praying Genealogy is the next remake, I would cry og happiness.
