New reaction pic for y'all to be used when you get into an argument about trans healthcare and your opponent starts talking about the 0.8% or whatever or trans people who regret transitioning

I think one big reason why we don't consider the stars as important as before (not even pop-astrology anymore cares about the stars or the sky on itself, just the signs deprived of context) is because of light pollution.

I Think One Big Reason Why We Don't Consider The Stars As Important As Before (not Even Pop-astrology

For most of human history the sky looked between 1-3, 4 at most. And then all of a sudden with electrification it was gone (I'm lucky if I get 6 in my small city). The first time I saw the Milky Way fully as a kid was a spiritual experience, I was almost scared on how BRIGHT it was, it felt like someone was looking back at me. You don't get that at all with modern light pollution.

When most people talk about stargazing nowadays they think about watching about a couple of bright dots. The stars are really, really not like that. The unpolluted night sky is a festival of fireworks. There is nothing like it.

I'm sorry i gotta be a hater for a second:

IP3 content is cool and all but it does annoy me how it seems to delude some fans into thinking its canon. it is not, neither the ship nor rlly the platonic dynamic. its fine to like it, but Topaz and Ratio only like kinda were together in the dream sequence at the end of Penacony and there's no hints they even talked before. Aventurine and Topaz are at best casual friends and coworkers, and thats rlly pushing it I see them more as aquaintances. Aventurine and Ratio actually are really close, and Aventurine is for sure friends with Acheron, which sadly not a lot of ppl bring up, it just bugs me how overstated Topaz's role always is when it comes to Aventurine and Ratio.

Also sometimes I feel like people treat Ratio like he's an IPC person when he's not, he's apart of the intellgensia guild and its important distinction. TO BE CLEAR IDC ABT FANS ENJOYING FUN IP3 CONTENT JUST IT BUGS ME WHEN THEY ACT LIKE ITS CANON.

I say this as a black immigrant from a third world dictatorial country that has faced genocide and is actively facing ethnic cleansing, stop tokenizing people’s traumas and oppression.

these are actual people facing traumas that you cannot begin to conceptualize, stop using their existence and/or deaths as morality tokens on the internet. it’s becoming less about the literal genocides taking place in various countries and more about morality competition.

posting/using people’s deaths as a talking point is disingenuous. stop weaponizing the traumas of the oppressed to feel morally superior than strangers on the internet, these are actual human beings, they are not talking points.

anyways, here’s is a master list on how you can educate yourselves and provide resources to people in Palestine. Additionally you can follow @LetsTalkPalestine on instagram and join their broadcast channel to stay informed and updated.
