More about design and headcanons:

She is purple because her dad Stonemover is also dark purple. Sunny's scales change color as her life progresses. Initially, she was born with a coloring like a regular sandwing, but then more and more saturated colors began to appear. The older Sunny gets, the more she becomes like a nightwing. Therefore, in old age she will look almost like a purebred nightwing. Sunny's life cycle is displayed on her scales, as if from dawn to dusk to night.

It seems to me that the guardians would already know that she is not a pureblood, but would hide it.

And Sunny canonically has a black tail, it’s just not visible behind the sand. (just take a closer look)

Alas, he was the victim of me experimenting with a funny little brush 😔 but I think I like this more sketchy style!

Me and my friend @scattershotsaffron have been doing a little thing!! This is just a fun little test comic I wanted to do, and I think it turned out quite nicely :] Laika (big fluffy lass) belongs to me, and Cobra (grey and ginger cutie) belongs to Arthur!

This is Nightgaze, he's pretty underdeveloped actually 😭😭

He doesn't have any sort of backstory (that I can remember?? I may have given him one but forgor) so he just kinda. floats around in my brain and occasionally gets drawn (mainly on schoolwork, whoopsies.)
