i realized i was a system like 2 days ago almost? and i’m noticing that i’m actually engaging in a form of masking similar to my autistic masking, but where i’m literally pretending to be my more palatable outward personality that everyone knows and expects of me instead of my actual personality that’s in the driver’s seat at that moment and it’s really jarring. I wonder if i’ve been doing this my whole life? or is this totally new? working through this shit on my own w no prior knowledge or experience is wild

Palpatine never stops getting obliterated by Padmé his entire life. Like imagine you’re trying to do evil advisor political things and then there’s this child queen cutting you off at the pass every time. Oh okay no worries you try and assassinate her but then she gets even more politically adept and then seduces and marries the guy you’ve been working really hard to groom. Rats! But no problem, because now she’s dead and you’ve succeeded in making her husband into your metal fleshmachine murdersub but—SURPRISE! Turns out she’d been hitting that freakazoid raw during every wartime conjugal visit and now you’re getting your ass kicked by not one but TWO of her kids, which, given they both have 50% of her DNA, is like kind of like getting your ass kicked by a genetically combined total of 100% Padme Amidala. Crazy.

leia organa truly has one of the best bait-and-switch character introductions of all time because when you meet her she's this brave, stoic picture of elegance and justice and always knows just what to say to vader and tarkin and is clad in white like an angel and is this perfect two-dimensional archetype of pureness of heart. and then approximately half an hour later into the film she meets luke and han and she IMMEDIATELY shows her true colors as a sarcastic, bitchy control freak with a massive impulsive streak and a deep mine of hyperspecific insults. 10/10 character design i'm obsessed with her
