I Know This Joke Has Already Been Made Somewhere Before, But Episode 3 Means This Is A Canonical Line

I know this joke has already been made somewhere before, but Episode 3 means this is a canonical line that could be said by Kinger and I won't get over that.

Oh shit? Aren't the Chips... technically?

Like? Premeditated Macro-Embezzlement of Galactic resources?

Since, LEGALLY the fucking government doesn't treat those clones as people? Then the presence of a chip... that would transfer COMPLETE CONTROL of the ENTIRE GAR from? You know? The GOVERMENT THAT PAID FOR THEM to a private citizen?

No matter HOW high ranking?

It's the equivalent of the US President transferring the ENTIRE ARMIES stockpile of munitions and vehicles into his name using executive power.

Just... just fucking ALL OF IT.

You can't DO that. Even in an "EMPIRE". There's this little thing called "everyone gets real jumpy and stabs you in the night". People? Get TWITCHY about that much centralized military power.

This is the "we're bring you in on tax evasion" charge if ever I hear it? Those greedy fuck don't give a shit about sentient rights! But THEIR MONEY? You STEAL? THEIR MOOONEEEEYYYY????! OH! Oh DEATH! DEATH for Palpatine! Death 1000 YEARS!!!

(Sith? Meh. Sure that too.)

Whilst this is definitely an interesting point to make about star wars that I don't have an answer too

But in Warhammer 40k's context I think this can be explained

Short: the empirium is a shit hole that *could* gives its soldiers spacesuits but chooses not to because they are expendable

Long: Yes it's impractical.....the imperium does not care. The imperium is very impractical in a lot of ways....it would be good if they gave people spacesuits for combat but in all likelihood they just don't have the money the equipment and the logistics to make that happen.

Also during warp travel, spacesuit or not if you end up outside the ship your dying either way

To the empirium manpower is one of the cheapest things they have....far cheaper than protecting their workers with advanced tech they just get new workers and soldiers when the old ones die from whatever preventable cause they are choosing to ignore

What I don't like about star wars and warhammer 40k, is that no one, almost no one wears any kind of space suits while traveling in space. Especially during battles, when a ship can be damaged badly enough to cause leakage of air.

For comparison, in mobile suit gundam it's common for a military vessel's (and sometimes cargo ships too) crew to wear space suits during space battles. The same can be said about mobile suit pilots, with some notable exceptions like OYW era Char and Haman, unless the battle is happening on Earth, they wear space suits.

It's a mystery to me why it's so uncommon to wear a space suit in wh40k and SW.

If a trans girl tells you that she wants to start dressing more femme and your response is "but you're conforming to gender stereotypes" then she is entitled to punch you in the face as hard as she wants
